I've had the cover a month or so. Took a trip across the country and back about 6K miles so this after after some use. The Retrax looks great on my 2025 Ranger. It doesn't take up as much space in the bed as I thought it would. Installation was very straight forward. The standoff bracket are a little tall. they were about 3/8 of an ich above the bed rail which makes it hard to get a good seal at the tailgate. The only other issue I have is it could stand a latch on the passenger side. With only one latch it tends to rack a little bit on that side at the tailgate even after making sure the rails are perfectly parallel. I believe it helped my fuel mileage. I got 3mpg above the average combined on the sticker.
I am extremely happy with this install. The cover is well made, and so far operates flawlessly. It's to much better than the soft/folding cover my truck had for the first year of it's life.
The cover is good but it was missing parts and I had to drill a whole and do a counter sink so I could complete the install and wait a week for the missing parts I probably would not buy this again
The cover was easy to install. Did most of the job myself and then had my wife help lift it onto truck. Put a Yakima bike rack on. Fit T rails no problem. Looks great and works perfectly.
Installation was simple and straightforward. Asked a friend to help set it in the bed and that was all the help I needed. Two of the white nylon spacers were broken. Customer service immediately sent out a full complement of eight. Got them in three days.
Arrived well packaged and undamaged. It took me about an hour to install by myself. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only (small) negative is that the front drain tubes are too large to fit in the truck bed drain holes. Easily solved by using a couple of 1/4" air hose connectors. 3$ at Tractor Supply. Rolls smoothly and looks great.
Unpacked the boxes no instructions were included, tried real trucks website difficult to navigate & find specific instructions. I called customer service got someone to help took 3 emails to get right set of instructions. Overall seemed like a good product but they cheaped out on the drain hose the ones used in the general installation viedo had clear hose attached to a twist lock coupling the ones used in the order was a cheap plastic hose you insert into a wire loom with a very cheap tension tab that will easily break off. I paid over $1800 & expected better just wonder if that's real truck way of saving $$$.
The cover operates easily and looks good. The problem I have after closing the cover and driving; the right side slides out of alignment and water can get in.
I can't really review this product because I only received half of the order. One of the two packages stalled in Georgia on May 21st. Sent an email to Real Truck and received no answer. I have a tracking case with FedEx from the 27th with zero updates since then. Neither party seems concerned that I did not get my complete order. I do want to receive and install this, still trying to figure out what it will take to do that.
I like the concept and the looks, but it just does not work well. Currently it is cold un upstate NY. When this was installed it worked great inside heated garage. Go outside and the cold air and it must shrink, because you cannot release the latch without opening the tailgate and yanking on the aluminum end rail on the cover. Then closing it when it is cold is even more fun. The cover itself is made to short and when cold it just will not reach to lock without forcing it. I cannot imagine it will even be usable below zero. I was originally going to buy the Pro model which was on sale and the CS rep I was talking with sold me down to the One which was list price, but still cheaper than the Pro. I think the all aluminum Pro version would have worked far better for me with the cold, but I will never know. I can say I was happy for the first few hours of ownership. I would never buy this cover again.
