Retains cold for 20 - 30 minutes
Much better than the beads bags that are popular in the stores right now. Those lose cold within 3 minutes. This blue gel bag stays cold for a good 15-20 minutes. I do wish there a little more blue gel inside the plastic bag or less plastic bag. But so far, the plastic is nice and thick and durable. I've had it for approx 2 weeks now.

Watch out - advertised size is misleading
The gel area is 4 x 10 and are the same size a gel packs from another vendor advertised as 4 x 10. If you also measure the clear area beyond the gel, is is almost 5 x 11. Disappointed, I wanted gel size 5 x 11.
