Just one coat and it's perfect

StarlaGirl December 26, 2017

I love this color. IT is especially good for new years eve which is why I got it. IT looks great with just one coat and dries very quickly. I would definitely recommend it.

I love this formula

Lindsaylb February 28, 2018

I love doing my own nails. I have tried my fair amount of different brands and shades. I have liked most of Revlon's nail polishes, they've never disappointed, specially not for the price. I like Holochrome colors and I have to say I really liked this shade. Blushing, I even love the name of this shade. The color is very rich, most of the time you only need one coat to achieve your goal, but I'm used to double coating my nails, so I used two coats as always. I love how rich the color is and how long it lasted. I do a lot of home chores, I am a wife and a mother and like to keep the house clean for my family, I wash dishes by hand on occasion and don't wear gloves, so the fact that my nail polish stayed in place for over a week, says a lot. It's really hard to find a nail polish that will do that while trying to keep a clean house and all the other daily activities. Also, one other thing I liked is that it didn't stained my nails when I was removing it, there are a lot of pinks that will leave some sort of discoloration or what not on the nail. Not this one! I was extremely happy with the outcome. I will definitely keep purchasing more of Revlons Holocrome nail polishes.

Love this easy use polish

SashaSS December 20, 2017

My skill level at applying polish is roughly that of an 8 yr old. I rarely use any polish on my short nails, I'm very hard on them and they usually don't look so great when I'm done. So I really can't say how this brand stacks up to other polishes. All I know is that I love it. Best I've ever used maybe. It glided on and really didn't let me make a mistake. It came right off my skin after it was dry and everything! Didn't streak. A light layer is subtle. A double layer covers all (that one always tricky for me and it did get a little sticky but then dried just fine). Worked best for me to go over a couple times all at once on the first pass. Covered well that way without being too thick. Dried very fast. I put it to the test; 3 days after polishing I was playing in the rock garden and it held up very well - only slight wear on the tips. I was worried about the color being too sparkly but it looks great and not cheap or childish.

Unicorn Holo Shimmer Magic

reviewsucanuse December 24, 2017

Revlon Unicornicornicopia Holochrome nail polish is beautiful. It glides on smoothly as long as enough drying time (2-3 min between coats) is given. I initially put a second coat on 45 seconds later and had some clumpiness - user mistake. To me, Unicornicornicopia looks like a shimmery (not glittery or sand-like) lavender color that - with movement and light - looks like a bluish steel (grayish) color. So the polish color takes on differing shades as it maintains shimmer. Using no base coat or top coat, I wore this enamel for four days before chipping started. I imagine that it could be worn longer without chipping if basecoat and topcoat were used. To give even more depth of color, a third coat of Unicornicornicopia is a good idea. At a retail price of $6.49 Revlon Holochrome Nail Enamel is a great value. Unicornicornicopia could be worn for fancy (holiday, proms/homecomings, weddings, tea parties, etc) or be worn casually for a little sparkle day-to-day. It is truly Unicorn Holo Shimmer Magic. In the pic, my nails are painted with two coats of Unicornicornicopia and no basecoat nor topcoat.

Good Holo

herself December 28, 2017

This has a really nice holographic effect. One coat is enough to cover your nails fairly well -- you know if you're in a hurry and your nails looks like garbage, just slap some of this on and you're good to go. It wears well and dries quickly enough. It's so pretty when it catches the light.

Revlon 100 Hologasm nail enamel

brashnsassy70 December 31, 2017

I like the color. After 2 coats it did get darker. It dried fairly quickly. It shines in the light. It has what seems like small specks in the coat. My son also likes the color.

Revlon Amethyst smoke polish #120

Diana December 26, 2017

I first want to say I was given Revlon Amethyst smoke #120 or my honest rating and review. Now with that said I received a bottle of Revlon’s Holochrome 0.5 FLOZ nail enamel in the Amethyst smoke color. The bottle lid is very pretty with a rainbow metallic effect to it. The polish looks a bit purple at one angle then switches to a gray chrome color. At first glance I would say it’s a very attractive bottle. I applied 2 coats to my toenails and it dried very fast. I am a very fair skinned person so I don’t think it complemented my skin very well. It looked very grayish-silver on my skin tone. I then tried it on my daughters olive tan skin tone and it looked very nice on her with more amethyst tones showing through. It’s all about getting the right color of polish that works for your skin tone so although I didn’t care for this color I can’t give it a bad rating. I rate this polish a 3 out of 5 because although it may have not worked well on my skin tone it looked great on my daughter. I advise you try it on before purchasing to see if the color will compliment your skin.

Not what I had hoped for...

desertswimmer December 29, 2017

I am sorry to say that I was terribly disappointed in this. It was not what I had hoped it would be.I tried it several times to be sure. The color of the brush handle is fabulous but it did not translate that way in the actual enamel. Please do not get me wrong…the polish went on as beautifully with the quality Revlon nail enamels have. I personally did not like the color nor the depth of color or lack there of that resulted. If you like silver color then this is for you it is a rich one dimensional silver color that would be lovely. My expectations may have been too high due to the holographic reference that I found to be absent in the actual product. To be honest I am a Spark Reviewer and did not pay for this. Please note that my objection it solely based upon the color and not the quality of the product..

Not holographic at all

Candice March 24, 2023

This is a plain glittery gray metallic polish. I didn’t think it looked holographic in the bottle, but gave it a shot anyway. The photo is 3 generous coats. The only way to see any holographic effect at all is to shine a very bright led light directly into your fingers and move them from side to side, and then it’s barely there. In regular light, including can lights or bright sunshine, it’s just boring shiny gray, which I already owned. Absolute waste of money.

holochrome it was not

odis64 January 28, 2018

The holochrome effect appealed to me so I was excited to try it. I liked the color and thought that it would give a chrome appearance with a hologram color changing effect in certain light or positions. That was not the case. I get my nails done at a nail shop and I brought the polish there and it looked simply gray. Not sparkly, or like chrome or like a hologram, just gray. It was disappointing but glad I was able to give it a try and offer some feedback. It did go on smooth and the color lasted for several weeks so that is a positive.
