Not my usual choice. The (possibly ?) less toxic ingredients drew my interest, actually expected it to be pretty useless, especially on grey hair. WHAT a surprise. Absolutely the best grey coverage I have ever found in any brand ! Used a med ash blond and it was amazing. No burning (though most don't burn any more) this is so mild and yet the color, hair texture and conditioning was fantastic. Went back to get 3 more "just in case" they run out and I can't get my color. Never used Revlon but this is a winner in my book. No, LOL, I don't work for Revlon and never have, and don't know anyone who ever has....LOL... I am just very happy I took a chance on this !
I have issues with this hair color but the great thing is that it ACTUALLY COVERS GRAYS! I know of no other home hair color that covers gray hair. Amazing. HOWEVER-- if you buy the medium ash brown, be warned-- your hair will come out BLACK, blackest-black. And if you order medium ash blonde, you will get a nice natural (not ash) brown. Other than that, it seems kind to my hair and covers my gray roots, and I like the medium brown I get from the medium ash blond. So, all good!
This product is amazing. I read about it and bought one to try. I just bought two more for future uses. This color does not make my scalp itch and I love that it covers my gray hair.
What I like most of all................If I leave on only 15 minutes, I get the true color on the box, which is MY natural color. The con is.........................My hair absorbs too much color and therefore, I cannot leave on the full amount of time.
I mainly got this because it’s marketed as “clean”, but after a small Internet search I found that it still has PPD, which I was trying to avoid. Also, I got the 10 black, but on my hair it looked more like dark brown. Otherwise it was fine. It went on easy, and smelled fine.
The color is full and it leaves behind a thick film in your hair that takes about 4 shampoo's to get out. I suspect they think it's shine but it just made my hair look dirty. I thought it was the conditioner so I skipped it when I tried the product the 2nd time but it's in the dye.i contacted the manufacturer for advice and they didn't bother to reply
Ive ordered this brand before and I would like to continue using it. In this delivery though, the developer applicator tips (which usually are sealed and the tips have to be twisted off to break the seal) were unsealed and leaked.
I received two of these. Love the hair color. It's one of my favorites but the second box I ordered had been tampered with and had a bottle of fingernail cuticle product in it. I told my husband that it was so bizarre that I'd feel like we'd look as if we were lying to return to it. We just threw it away.
I should've read more reviews other than the first ones posted. My hair is now dark brown with red roots. Followed instructions and regret using this product. I experienced a mild chemical reaction, not too serious but that is definitely a red flag in regards to clean/vegan product. I'm basically stuck with this horrible color and will have to just grow it out. I will not use this product again. When using over-the-counter products there's usually a risk. Hopefully this will help other before going forward with this product.
I used the medium ash blonde and my hair came out dark ash with a blue hue. My hair was completely white for your reference
