Rheem Performance 10 Gal. 6 Year 2000-Watt Single Element Electric Point-Of-Use Water Heater

I'm not a plumber, but a determined DIY'er. I had the old one out and this one installed in a matter of hours, with nothing but a crescent wrench and a screwdriver...easy peasy

I bought this water heater to replace a nine year old unit. It was a perfect replacement and was a quick install. It heats hotter than the old one did.

I had to replace same model that was at least 17 yrs. old. Glad to find same model with same measurements was available given long life of the one that finally quit. Fittings were also in the same place so it made connecting the unit fairly easy.

Two days ago I installed the 2.5 gallon Rheem water heater under the sink of our master bathroom. The master bedroom is quite far from the home water heater, so it takes a long time for hot water to reach it. This unit is working great. Instant hot water for washing hands, brushing teeth.

The master bedroom bathroom is on a side of my house where the main water heater is 3/4 of the way on the other side of the house. To use the shower stall or sink, the water had to run for 2 minutes, wasting several gallons of water. This point water heater was easily plumbed into the supply water and hot water outlets, The 110 volt hookup only needed its own dedicated plug-in outlet.

Got this inline heater to help at the point for basement bathroom/shower and kitchen sink/DW above. Now hot water does not have to run gallons before it reaches and with inline it does not take long to heat the extra gallon or 2 of cold in the line to it.

Purchased to eliminate water usage waste/wait time from hot water heater 100' away. Works great and allows enough usage for gas heater to reach this under sink unit. Put a timer on the outlet to limit working hours to just usage hours (day/evening). Only objection would be that I wished the unit was slightly smaller to fit better in the small area (perhaps 1.5-2 gallon?).

Bought this for my 50 foot houseboat little tight to get thru door but made some adjustments Wattage is same at 2000 as 15 gal so I can pretty much heat up before leaving dock and good for quite a while with hot water as needed With it being 2000 watts it's not s problem or strain to reheat with generator

Tank fits underneath our kitchen sink easily with some space to spare and didn't interfere with the PVC drain pipes. Suggest checking available space under sink before installing. Take does NOT come with the 1/2" nipples for cold water intake and hot water out take outlets. Disappointed in that! Tank provides ample hot water for our kitchen sink needs and left temp at 120 degree factory setting, which works fine for us.

I bought this for a cabin. I haven't finished the septic system yet so have not used it for a shower yet. I'll leave further feedback if I find it to be inadequate for 2 people who don't take long showers. The water has been plenty hot for dish washing and cleaning so far. Very simple install. Only negative feedback is that the water connections are offset from each other which makes for a plumbing nuisance. Also there is no drain and the pressure relief valve is in a bad location to reach if your plumbing is from behind the heater. Poor engineering from the plumbing aspect.
