Rheem Professional Classic Atmospheric Series 40 Gallon Capacity 40,000 BTU Heating Input Tall Gas Water Heater

This is the third water heater I have had to purchase within three years. I specifically searched for a Rheem product that did not have the Honeywell control. Prior to my first replacement in 2013, I had a Richmond model and it had lasted for about 10 years. I hope this one will give me as many years of service or more!

Replaced our 15 year- old water heater with a new Rheem..has been great so far; we didn't realize what we were missing until we got the new one. The water definitely heats faster and hotter with the thermostats at the same settings, which I expected due to the age of the old one.

Good experience so far. Replaced a Rheem that was in use for 14 years and currently have a Rheem gas pack for heating and cooling. Am very satisfied with Rheem products as well as customer service.

Third go around for a Rheem. Have used in other houses that I have owned. Always a great product.

Upon purchasing my home, the water heater I found upon receiving my first water bill is definitely efficient. The bill was the lowest water bill that I have had in a great number of years.

The Rheem unit has been in two weeks. (That's why it's four stars instead of five. When it's been running for 10 years without any problems, it'll be five stars.) It replaced a 25-year old hot water heater of a different brand that was delivering only lukewarm water while making awful noises. The Rheem unit is quiet and effective. The water is plenty hot and there is enough to allow simultaneous use of the showers and the dishwasher. We got the dual anode upgrade, so it is warrantied for 10 years. We hope it lasts much longer than that!

I've just had this water heater for a couple of weeks but I'm happy so far. Hot water when I want it. Would give it 5 stars but it's a little pricier than comparable models.

Only 24 hours old but the installation was simple, matched existing pluming and gas lines. I had hot water within 1 hour of completing hookup and still had hot water the next morning.

Installed last week, and so far working well. I have it set on the lowest heat setting and still the water is too hot. I do wish it had the newer controller-type that indicates it is heating.

I had this Rheem for 5 years and the tank started leaking. Luckily 1 year left on warranty. I have a water softener and it should have lasted 10 or more. I had a builders WH and it lasted 11 which was off brand. I hope the new one replaced under warranty lasts longer than the last one.
