Rhino USA Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch Coupler Lock Kit For 2-5/16 Inch Trailers

This is a great hitch lock. I watched a demonstration of several different types and decided to go with this “kind”. There are others on the market that are 3x as expensive. This one is definitely comparable. Order a size up tho. I didn't realize that. For a 2” hitch you need the 2 5/16” lock. The hitch pin lock doesn't work on my camper because it is not long enough but I will use it on my boat. I almost wish they painted it a bright red so that it would deter someone even more if an unsavory character is just walking by and contemplating stealing the camper. I paired this up with a wheel lock and feel totally safe leaving my camper unattended for months. Good quality, very heavy duty, American made, and would buy again.

Heads up. All Rhino locks use the same key. No unique keys. Both of these locks use the exact same key as a Rhino trailer hitch pin lock that I bought separately. I am giving only 3 stars because of this security flaw. The coupler lock is moderately stout, and not as beefy as my old Master Lock coupler lock.

This is similar to another product out there for about the same price. The device is all aluminum except for the pin that holds it in the ball socket. It's a deterrent but honestly, you could probably knock it off with a large sledgehammer since the outer casing is cast aluminum. The whole unit should really be made of steel.
