You can never go wrong with these Rhodes Dinner Rolls. If you have them on a cookie sheet and they don't touch each other, they bake and look and taste like home-made buns. I have baked buns and breads many times before and these are so great tasting and very easy to make without all the hours of making home-made buns. If you are a sticker for everything home-made you might not agree with my evaluation.
The Rhodes Dinner Rolls are so convenient. Once you get in the habit of putting them out to thaw, they become a standard part of our meals. I make them in a baking stoke cupcake pan and am going to try putting them on a sheet pan, not touching, and flattening them to use as individual pizza crusts.
really great for making sfiha and fatayer. I hate making dough because it's hard for me to get it right and it takes a long time. just make sure you give the pieces enough space because they start off the size of a ping pong ball and end up the size of a baseball. I put them too close and they stuck together and in some spots the dough was still tough because it didn't get to properly rest.
Their French bread is the best. Be careful not to overcook. I had to cook less than directions because it overcooked them. Was too crunchy all the way through. My foster dog liked them but it left a lot of powdered crumbs. They are good when cooked at the right time per each microwave wattage. You might have to undercook first %26 keep checking because they really aren't edible overcooked. Crunchy air crumbs.
The bacon served in a rolls are on the top of my list! I am able to grab the exact amount that we require whether it's just the two of us or we have company and easily place them on the cookie sheet, cover them with plastic for 3 to 5 hours and they rise beautifully and are delicious. Also, the amount of dinner rolls in the package is enough to last us for a while. My husband eats them before I get my share! After I bake them in the oven, I brush them with a little margarine or butter, and they look beautiful in a basket. Of course, we don't keep them around very long once they are out of the oven. Quality and cost-effective!
The absolute best! I used to make homemade yeast rolls for every holiday, but it just became too much to prep them with everything else. These taste homemade. They're seriously the best thing! Look for additional uses for them online (sticky buns, monkey bread), there are some great recipes online.
These are a thanksgiving and Christmas staple in my family. They are so delicious and I look forward to them every year. My kids take turns poking holes in them for holiday laughs every year as well, so I like them even more as a result.
My family loves these rolls. I put 8 greased rolls in 9" round pans and let them raise over night and bake in the morning. They come out perfect every time. Family will take one to eat as soon as they arrive at the house. Yummy
I've been baking with Rhodes Products for many years, but only sourdough self rising, suggesting that you warm oven 175 degrees and leave in oven to rise, best with out any cool drafts, for breads to rise properly,...Thanks Again Pamela
The rolls are delicious. However, this 6lb bag (72 rolls) is almost 3X the price of the smaller bag (36 rolls). this is what one of the Walmart plus shoppers thought was a reasonable substitute. I chose rolls from the bakery as a substitute. I received 72 rolls for a dinner for 3 people.
