Bought this Choice Angus ribeye “for dinner.” What I actually bought was a morale boost and a brief period of world peace in my kitchen. Great marbling, cooked up like a champ, and tasted like it had a personal vendetta against bland food. I did a simple salt/pepper sear and it still came out rich, buttery, and tender enough to make me consider writing it a thank-you note. Also, it’s one steak per package, which is perfect—no arguing about who gets the better piece. The better piece is mine. That’s the policy. If you’re trying to eat “responsibly,” do not buy this. You will suddenly start finding reasons to celebrate random Tuesdays. 5 stars, would absolutely buy again.
This is the best ribeye I've found in years. It had very good flavor and didn't leave me disappointed. Pricey but worth it on occasion. A little more fat than I like but overall I would buy again. I actually fried it in olive oil because I like meat very well done. Delicious!
I was very pleasantly surprised with this steak. It was tender , juicy and I was surprised that even being steak hungry , it was good sized and thick and satisfied me. I’ve bought it twice so far and I’ll buy it again! Seared it in butter and put it in a hot oven 375-400 3-4 minutes on each side. Lastly top with butter sautéed mushrooms!
I fried this steak in garlic butter and seasoned with salt and pepper at a low temperature untill the first side was caramelized. I flipped it and cooked until the internal juices started rising up out of the top. I removed from heat and let rest for 3 minutes. It melted in my mouth and I would have paid 50 dollars for it at a steakhouse or restaurant. I can't wait to buy another one.
The only thing that I dint like was the price but we cannot stop the elite from causing super inflation. If you grill these correctly they are delicious and they are supposed to have a high fat content. A ribeye is the same cut as prime rib. Grill it hot and fast, three flips, pull it at 140, wrap for 5-10 minutes and should be medium done.
These look exceptional. I used to work at the Dept. of Ag, Trade and Consumer Protection Food Safety Division Including Meat Safety for the State of Wisconsin which regulated the butcher shops and made the Meat Safety person go with me to the grocery store to show me what a good rib-eye steak looked like. He said "Get a steak with good marbling, and you want a square or rectangle of fat in the upper third; that tells you it came from the better part of the ribs." (I don't remember which rib number, but I know if you are buying a prime rib you want it to be from the 7th to the 11th rib. They were consistent as well,I bought four; the largest was 1.24 pounds, the others were 1.08, .97, .96
Don’t recall purchasing Angus steak previously but glad I did. Was very tender %26 so tasty. Only con… needed to be trimmed more because it had excessive fat which I had to pay extra for. One draw back of ordering on line. I would not choose that piece of meat with that much fat on it if you were in the store shopping yourself. “Guess you can’t have everything! However, it WAS a delicious steak!”
We fixed 2 of these steaks on the grill tonight and they were very good. They had just enough fat to give flavor, which is why I choose a ribeye over a New York strip. And my delivery person picked them out for me, I did write a note saying pick me out two you would enjoy eating.
It tasted okay after cooked, but gave me severe diarrhea, cramps, and nausea less than a half hour later that lasted until 2am. When looking at the sticker for a date, it said "10/21/2025", but underneath was another sticker that said "9/28/2025", so I was given bad meat with a sticker on it to make it look like it was okay to sell.
BEWARE! The steak had a distinct bad smell and wasn't safe to eat. I was surprised that I was asked to return a pound of rotten bloody raw meat instead of just discarding it! However I complied because $22 is too much to just throw away. Be prepared to have to keep and transport rotten smelly meat back to WALMART if you are unhappy with your purchase 😱😳🤯😤
