While this does have an option to go in SmartPaks, this has been the best product that I have found that is the most cost effective and in large bulk supply options. I typically like to add additional MSM to my mare's diet when we are in work. This product is picky mare approved, and has done well to support my mare's comfort.

We had a very stiff horse that nothing else seemed to work for. Hock injections did absolutely nothing. We started him on this and the change is dramatic! He went from looking short and sore to jumping courses with ease! So much so, we now have all our old school horses on it and it's been a dramatic change for our entire program. More success with this than even cosequin. Haven't had any issues with palatability or it sticking to the bucket the way that cosequin does. Definitely A LOT of bang for your buck. One or two of our REALLY stiff horses are on the loading dose (approved by vet), but adding that extra scoop has made them happy and comfortable when bute didn't seem to help at all.

I've found this helps horses with funky skin, so I figure maybe it does help with joints, too. Who knows? I do know Smartpak (unlike everything else) offers the best price. What is up with their new "Fufillment Fee" though?

I just started using this product on my horses, I am learning the great benefits to giving this to them. It helps with so many ways and more, such as connective tissues, their coat, recovery and even their hooves.

My Mare is recovering from EPM and I want to keep her on a anti-inflammatory. As I am on Soc. Sec. I cannot afford a big price. This MSM is pure and very economical for me. I believe it works just as well as a higher priced MSM product and the bucket lasts a few months. Thank you Smart Pac for providing this high quality low priced product.

Bought this because of good reputation to hold me over until after Equine Affaire when I purchase for the year. The bag contains about 30 servings, not 46. I let smart pak know and they are looking into it. I called select the best directly, they investigated and agreed there was a problem. They promptly sent me another bag to hold me over free of charge, and are addressing the incorrect serving problem with their quality control/production people. The product is good, but until they can correct the problem going forward, you are getting 30 servings, not 46.

I was buying this at the feed store for a lot more money so I switched. I can't say it is working any better or worse than what my horse was on but I do use it myself (NOW brand) and believe it is very good for us. The only reason I took off two stars is that the manufacturer is being secretive as to where the MSM is sourced which in my mind is a bunch of bologna. If they are hiding the sources, then logic tells me it is probably from China or worse. I will not be buying this brand when my bucket runs out!

My horse is a young mare and has great joints, so, putting her on a joint supplement was more precautionary than anything, since she's a hunter/jumper. I had her on the powdered MSM for a month and it did everything it was supposed to. She had no creaky joints, no pain, and was as feisty as ever; however, I found it very difficult to get her to eat the powder, not because she didn't like the taste, but because it would just sink to the bottom of her grain bucket and be missed as she was eating. I know most people suggest putting corn syrup, maple syrup, etc. to absorb the powder and get them to eat it; however, I prefer for my horse to not get that much sugar. So, I ended up buying organic, unsweetened apple sauce from the farmer's market and mixing it in. Viola! Powder was all gone every time! However, this was getting expensive (applesauce was waaay more expensive than the MSM itself!) and after the month was up, I switched my Smartpaks over to the MSM pellets. Much easier, less expensive, and I know it'll get eaten every single time without having to add syrups, molasses, or applesauce. I went with the powdered over the pellets the first time to save a few bucks, but it ended up being more expensive. Now, I'll only buy pellets for all her supplements.

I bought the 20 lb bucket. 3 different people tried with bare hands, gloved hands, screwdrivers, hay hooks and a crow bar but we still couldn't get the lid off. Ended up using an axe to cut a hole in the middle of lid because it seemed impossible to open. MSM was 5/5 stars but the packaging is a terrible joke.

I called Select the Best customer service to simply inquire where the M S M is manufactured. The lady that answered was very defensive and very rude, stated that they don't give that information. I asked to speak to someone else, and the "head" of customer service was extremely rude and defensive also. He answered that it is made in the US, so I said that it is helpful if that is printed on the label. I also informed him that the lady was extremely rude and defensive and he was very rude and defensive about her. THIS LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT MAYBE THEY ARE NOT TELLING THE TRUTH! A product that is made in the USA would be a positive feature to brag to customers. I DO NOT want to buy any of their products anymore, based on the way I was treated. I asked a simple question in a kind manner, all I needed was a simple answer. Kind of ruins your morning to be treated like @#%* and have already supported that company. Good customer service DOES MATTER!
