great product, and natural.

Susan November 13, 2025

Other than the very high price, it's a great product . Then horse has only been on it for 5 days to early to judge how good it works. I really hope it does help, with hoof wall growth, but that could take months. Once he finishes the tub, I will see about any changes, if it's helping I will buy more. I do like the idea it's all natural.

You can tell it is working!

Emily January 1, 2017

I purchased this product a few months ago for two of my quarter horses. Our gelding was lame due to poor farrier work before we purchased him and our mare just does not have the best feet. It did take about 3 months, as with most hoof supplements, but you can TOTALLY see a difference in both their hoof growth and mane growth. Their hooves look better than they ever have and the gelding is definitely getting more sound! Their manes are longer and healthier than ever before. I am very happy with this product! The only downfall is that it smells TERRIBLE but the horses eat it just fine so the smell is well worth it. I purchased the large bucket which lasts along time, is easy to feed, and is very cost effective for the amazing quality. Plus, it has probiotics which are always a plus and allowed us to save money on other supplements. I will never choose another hoof supplement!

Time Tells The Truth!

CakeBear July 11, 2012

A veterinarian at UGA Vet school who specializes in (equine) leg and hoof problems recommended this product to me over 2 years ago. I had a young Percheron/Paint cross with soft, splayed, and cracking hooves due to a combination of genetics and poor care from the previous owner. My farrier had screwed a metal band across one large crack to stabilize her hoof. The UGA vet said of all the horses he's treated, only the ones brought to him that he put on Nu-Hoof Maximizer, (or already had been on it for a short time) had shown significant improvement over a period of time. It was the only hoof supplement that seemed to really grow, heal and toughen the hoof equally well. My mare is now about to graduate to 1st level dressage and her feet are solid and still improving. I'll continue to keep her on this supplement , probably for the rest of her life.

Great for the price

swillybay November 2, 2011

My horse has bad feet. I had him on the Ultra Smarthoof and then the Glanzen 3 and also on the Smartpak Senior. I own five horses, with all five on at least some supplement, so this was getting expensive and I needed to cut down. I went to the Nu-Hoof Maximizer after comparing it to other brands and decided it would be the best thing to do for the money. My horse has been on it three months now, and his feet have remained in the terrific shape they were in when on the Glanzen 3. If you need a hoof supplement that's more economical, I believe in this one.

Good product for the price

Dexter2010 April 23, 2012

I've used this on my problem child Kirby before with good results so I decided to go back to it. All my horses are barefoot so it's especially important to me that their feet are strong. I've tried some other more expensive hoof supplements and honestly didn't see where they were worth the extra money so I went back to this.

It works!

Mich March 2, 2014

Found this product at my local feed store a couple years ago , and gave it a try on my then 23 year old mare with a bad quarter crack. I have owned her since she was 3 and have fought weak hooves her whole life! My farrier had aggressively routered out the crack and I was concerned it would never heal...after the full hoof grew out (with the help of screwed on plates) we are all pretty amazed at the difference. For once in her life, no cracks, no chipping, and her coat looks great too. I was very excited to see it offered by Smartpak along with the Finish Line HA product I use; I qualify for free shipping which makes it comparable in pricing to bulk when you factor in your time especially! Now we never run out!

It works!

Madix3 June 6, 2012

I did a lot of research before ordering this supplement. We do not feed many supplements at our farm and have found most supplements to be a huge waste of money. However, we had a few horses with hoof problems so I thought I would try a supplement. It took a few weeks but we can see an improvement in their hooves. It also did take a few feeds before the horses would clean the supplement completely out of their bowls, but they both happily eat it now- no problems.

Cracks Improved

Rochelle March 31, 2007

My Oldenburg mare started developing cracks in her front hooves as a 3 year old. As I was getting ready to start her under saddle, I was concerned that the additional stress would worsen the cracks. After speaking with my farrier, we put her on Nu-Hoof. The plan was to then put shoes on her once we started riding her to further support the hooves. After 90 days on Nu-Hoof, her hooves were improving enough that we didn't have to put shoes on. We have been using Nu-Hoof for a year now - still no shoes and she has the strongest hooves I have ever seen!

Great product

Sunny November 17, 2014

I purchased this for a new horse of mine, who had really poor hoof condition. Sunny has been on this for almost two months so far his hoofs are growing and have become noticeably stronger and less Shelly. Great product! I am hound to put all my horses on it.

Wow!

Michelle March 23, 2006

I started using this product about 4 months ago and I can already see the results! My Quarter Horse mare has always had tender front feet but I have had problems keeping shoes on her because her hooves would crack and chip beyond repair. After only a couple of months, she no longer even needs shoes and her feet are much stronger. Not to mention she looks great! There is a definite difference...without a doubt!
