Richmond Platform Bed with Flat Panel Foot Board and 2 Urban Bed Drawers in Multiple Colors and Sizes

We were in the market for a twin bed in my daughter's room to replace a full-size bed and free up some floor space in our tiny bungalow. We went to umpteen stores in town and seemed to find twin bed frames in three varieties: (a) Complete junk, (b) $700, and (c) Complete junk costing $700. We wanted something solid wood, durable, and able to accommodate a sleeping adult. This bed exceeded our expectations. And, by a lot. It's constructed of solid rubberwood, is well designed and engineered, and came with a surplus of hardware. They provided one extra of all required hardware. A rarity in the ""less is less"" production model. The slats are solid and screw into the frame, so no noisy sliding or shifting. My husband put this together by himself in less than an hour. He's handy, but it was not a hurculean feat to assemble. I am not-so-handy, and could have managed assembly by myself with additional time. This bed sleeps great with our memory foam mattress (no box spring required) and is stable and comfortable. I was so nervous about buying something sight-unseen, but this bed frame was exactly what we were looking for at a fraction of the price we assumed we'd be paying. Cannot recommend this enough. This is ""forever furniture"" quality.

We recently purchased a new king mattress and wanted to forego the traditional box spring. We searched online for a platform bed that would be stylish as well as functional and at an affordable price. We found all three with this item! It was relatively easy to assemble as well. It's sturdy and looks great. I would highly recommend this product!

The best part about this bed frame is that it is SOLID rubber WOOD. Very nice, eye pleasing, dense grain, temperature stable wood which is perfect for furniture. For the price, it's a steal! It will last for generations. For anyone looking at buying a TWIN, I highly recommend you by the Twin XL. Here are the reasons: most folks don't realize a regular twin bed is 5"" shorter than a regular queen or king. Also, when your kids go off to college, the vast majority of dorms have TWIN XL beds. So, if you buy quality sheets and don't want to have to buy twice, get the twin XL. The only reason I am buying a twin XL is the twin bed I currently have is now too short for my teenage son. I also have a college kid and, yes, I DID have to go buy twin XL sheets for her dorm bed. I was ignorant when I first bought twin beds for the house and didn't think for further down the (college) road for sheets, blankets and comforters :(. Bed comes disassembled in 4 boxes. It is very well thought out and goes together easily. Used a screw driver to clean out only one of the holes for hardware so it would fit. Comes with extra parts in case you lose one. They were smart in attaching the bag of hardware via a ribbon to the inside of the box so it could not get lost. Instructions are easy to follow. In all, a quality, solid bed frame at a steal of a price.

I got a twin size and I'm very happy with it. I did not get trundle or storage as I use a rumba and brava jet to sweep and mop and wanted the bed off the floor for cleaning, which is working fine with the tall legs (it comes with two heights of legs). This was very easy to assemble.

This is the third one of these beds I have purchased in the last 3 years as I refresh the beds in the cottage. All are full, but I have one with the twin trundle, one with storage under, and one bed only. They do not look like fasten together beds and in fact are quite substantial.

I like this product a lot! We bought it for our 6 year old sons room with the ""Full"" trundle option. The full bed is great, it was easy to assemble and I am confidant we will use it for many years to come. Watch for the trundle option when buying any bed larger than a Twin. I was under the impression I was purchasing a true Full Size trundle...the box was marked as Twin/Full but in the end the trundle is only large enough to support a twin size mattress, a full hangs off at least a foot.

this bed is great and sturdy and somewhat easy to put together (my husband put 2 of them together in about 3 hours and we got the trundle option). MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET A PILLOW TOP TWIN FOR THE TRUNDLE!!! we got a regular twin for the trundle and had to exchange if for their thinnest mattress to ensure it slipped under the full. Otherwise - STURDY, ATTRACTIVE and will b great for what we need it for.

Purchased this bed for our grand daughter. It seemed a good price and good looking. Bed arrived a few days early and everything seemed well packed and in good shape. when i assembled it all went well until the last side rail would not fit into the head board bracket.I had to remove the side rail bracket and re drill the holes to fit into the head board as there was no other way to make it fit together. The average person would have had to go through the hassle of trying to send it back and get a replacement. This is unacceptable manufacturing and should not happen. I do like the look of the bed and it works well for us after i altered the wood rail to fit the brackets. I would sadly have to hesitate to buy from hayneedle again.

I hadn't expected to write a poor review as the bed was going together so nicely and then I discovered the midrail holes did not match up with the holes on the legs. No matter how I tried different possibilities they simply did not line up. Called Hayneedle and they said the manufacturers most likely will ask you to return the entire bed (3 boxes) and they will send another one. There are no spare parts to correct the order, and no guarantee that the new bed's parts will fit. That sounded so impractical so I am plugging the incorrect holes with wood and then re-drilling the holes to match the legs and be done with it. I think this should fix the problem but I shouldn't have to do this even though the price is somewhat reasonable. There was also a nick in the wood on headboard but won't be visible once it will be assembled. Wish it was made in USA!
