Ridgid Adjustable Pipe Wrenches, Alloy Steel Jaw, 24 in

I am a professional pipefitter. On my side work l use the pipe wrenches l inherited from my dad who used them for his side work. My dad inherited the wrenches from my grandfather who used them too. Never have these wrenches ever failed. It just occurred to me these tools could be 100 years old. The still work perfectly. The company l work for buys new Ridgid pipe wrenches as the company grow and gets more work. There is no differance between the appearance and quality of the new wrenches when compared to the old ones. Granted, some of the old wrenches had new jaws replaced by my dad about 50 years ago, but that was an easy fix and unexpensive.

Hi, I'm working in oil field and we're using Ridgid 36” pipe wrench to torque up the connections upto 3600 ft-lb by using Chain lever hoist (come along). Kindly let me know if it is okay to use come along/ Cheater pipe and if its not allowed kindly confirm the maximum torque can be applied to 36” straight Pipe wrench.

I have owned pipe wrenches all my life and I have had good ones and bad ones, but I have never owned a Rigid Pipe Wrench. I was using one of my old pipe wrenches last week and after slipping off multiple times and roughing up a knuckle, I decided it was time for a new pipe wrench. I went to one of my local home stores and picked up a Rigid 6", 12" and 24" Pipe Wrench. I don't know why it has taken me so many years to one one of these. I have never had pipe wrenches of this quality before. I highly recommend you go to your tool box and throw away your old pipe wrenches and go get new Rigid pipe wrenches.

I've had my set of 14,18,24,36 since I've started working at my job, I install boilers and gas lines & oil lines constantly and have not had one problem with my ridgid pipe wrenches. I would not choose any other. They've lasted me 9 years already and aren't slowing down.

I,ve been in the Plumbing and Heating Profession for over 34 years and have used this product so many times it's impossible to count. This product has never failed or faltered me. Please don't change this product. Extremely durable and very easy to use!

I just purchased the 60 inch model. It is very heavy duty and well built but the length of the handle to the lower jaw is 43 inches. The overall length, with the jaw fully extended is only 53 5/8 inches. Not even close to the 60 inches they advertise.

Good pipe wrench for years until housing cracked/collasped. Despite the wrench sticker saying it has a lifetime warranty on the housing Ridgid has made it impossible to register the tool for a warranty claim. And they have ignored my requests to elevate the matter. Other brands honor their warranty in any location sold near you. At their price point they should last a lifetime.

I bought a 48-inch pipe wrench some time ago. In less than a year, it broke during use. The usage was not improper, which is why I am surprised—especially since it is from a top brand. My work is in the oilfield; we are an oil services company, and I work in the DST department. Could you please clarify why this might have happened? I was confident when I purchased this brand that it would last for a long time.

I purchased this pipe wrench used it once and the teeth broke on the jaws , one would think a 330.00 pipe wrench wouldn't break after one use I am very disappointed
