The original plastic/rubber cable retainers seem to always break over time. I'm not sure why they don't use this item which works perfectly and should last a long, long time!!! Suggest you check YouTube or other video disassembly of door panels for your vehicle. Very informative! I purchased three more sets so I will be ready for the next repair job.

The first time I repaired the door latch cable I used Ford parts. The replacement part lasted 1 year. I hope this kit does a better job. Moving from rubber to metal parts should improve the longevity.

Great Product. Fixes the Door lock problem. 4 per door is needed. These fit the upper and lower cable on the upper and lower latch. What I found if one breaks they all are ready to fail. Replace all 8, 4 per door.

Worked well. The odd (different) sleeve is for the upper latch cable end. Don't drop one of them down into the door because their non-magnetic and tough to get a hold of in the bottom door channel. Parts are well made.

For older trucks, getting the latch assembly from salvage yards with intact cabling is difficult. This kit works great to fix the main issue with the cable ends. Easy to install and fixed the problem.
