This is the third ceramic heat bulb I bought trying to find one that would be the right temperature for my hedgehog, 75-80 degrees F. Finally this is it! The lizard bulbs for some reason are not made in 75 watt, only 150, 100, and 60. This 75 watt bulb is just what I needed.
These things work great. Plants have never been happier in cold weather.
What I like about this product is that it gives off heat without light. I use it in a drop fixture above my massage table to warm the body. On the table itself I use a warming pad but that is not practical for the side facing away from the table.
Works great - perfect for keeping chicken water from freezing and not needing to use a light bulb.
Worked exactly as advertised. Great way to give my birds a little extra warmth on these cold winter nights.
I rcvd one broken one in the mail today
Love it!! My bearded dragon was getting cold at night here in Florida, and if I turned her basking light on she would stay awake..now she gets the heat at night and no light...
I bought three 75 watt heat emitters. They put out less heat than my 50 watt of another brand. I put a temp gun on surface. They were around 250 degrees cooler. THEN after runnimg less than one hour, two burned up completely. JUNK
Didn't have this weird thing on the lamp that kind of looks like brown goo when I was screwing it into my lamp. After it smelling extremely bad (thankfully hadn't put it on my reptile's tank yet) I looked at it and noticed this. I usually leave these running for about an hour to get rid of the smell before putting it on my reptiles enclosure and i'm so glad I did. Only thing was, I only had this running for a little less than 5 minutes and this occurred. I'm not saying yours will be like this but I definitely got a defective one.
