pen goes right through wet teardrops on paper.
Does not bleed in the rain! Totally awesome pen!
I'm a utility worker in the PNW and I have to make notes every day. I only use rite in the rain notebooks and this is my favorite pen. I've had several of them and they typically last about a year before the ink cartridge runs dry. Perfect lil pen for a safety vest pen pocket I just wish they made a metal version of this model.
I work in a home improvement store. Constantly on the move, and my job has me very active and and normal pens take a beating, and are easy to lose. This pen fits perfect in watch pocket (small pocket) in my jeans. It is the perfect size to clip there. I have only bought two, and the only reason one broke was because the clip wore out after I did something that was most likely my fault. Perfect pen and very reliable. I use it multiple times a day, and is actually the only pen I have never lost. I swear by this pen, and will probably never want to use another pen if I had the choice.
I bought one of these on a lark when I was looking for the pocket pen. These are a bit more expensive, but you can get it writing with one hand, rather than needing to get the cap off and put. . . somewhere. These are great, but I'm on my third. I lost a black one (don't get black!) and then bought two orange ones. They've both since lost their pocket clips. I carry it in my back pocket with the Pocket Calendar, and if the clip catches on something, it is GONE. I'll have to figure something out, or buy a few more.
Plenty sturdy even with the plastic clip. The bolt action can be a gimmick, but it makes perfect sense for deep pocket carry. This combines the slim profile and deliberate actuation of the two-piece pocket pen with the one-handed operation and single-piece construction of a clicker. I'm sure there's a cheaper direct-from-China clone, but as it stands this is much more affordable than all the titanium EDC bolt pens.
Well made and high quality. Love the bayonet feature. Would like to see in the future… refills in a broad size!
Based on 2 units purchased as a pair: * Writes smoothly- as expected for the top-end refill. * Is just the right size for occasional writing and for storage in pants pocket or EDC sleeve. * bolt action is excellent and the bolt is placed on the pen in just the right spot… But… One good yank and the clip breaks above the bend. Just below where the lanyard hole is. My pen lives in a sleeve of a small EDC front pocket wallet and the clip merely “just” caught on my keys while slipping the EDC wallet back into my pocket—“snick!”…and there goes the clip. Not particularly confidence inspiring. Never broke a clip on several styles of previous pens. I still like the pen best- or at least it is one of my top two favorites, but the clip is too loose to trust in a thin shirt pocket or neckband of a t-shirt and too tight for the bulk of the welt of a jeans pocket…and is apparently not strong enough for a little abuse.
Was a great set of pens for a bit until both clips broke within 2 days of each other. Got them for work and live how they write on everything in all environments but with how flimsy the clips proved to be, I'll sadly stick with the cheap pilot pens; I can buy 20 for the price of 2 of these and am not disappointed if they break.
Bought is pen for its compact size, bright colour, and compatibility with Rite In the Rain paper. My initial impression was very good. It works very well in the field, sits nice in uniform pockets, and is darn near impossible to lose on the forest floor. The quality of the product also seemed very good, I especially liked the deep grooves on the side of the pen for grip. However, after a few months of use, the pocket clip abruptly snapped off. For the price you are paying for this product, the clip really should be far more durable. I'm not sure why a metal clip design wasn't used on this product.
