Rite in the Rain Notebook Cover Tan

This is one of my favorite gifts, especially for young men or people who are on the go, sometimes filled with a notebook, some 3x5" index cards or collapsible pens. I use mine as a way to capture notes on the go and also as a supplementary wallet with a few bills and cards and keys tucked into one of the two interior pockets. The four outside "pen pockets" are well-sized to store a short Sharpie, a golf pencil and a collapsible pen, while an ordinary ballpoint pen will fit diagonally inside. I've carried mine as a second wallet and field desk for years, over hundreds of thousands of miles.

Recently I purchased several "waterproof" note books, stylus' and carrying cases for several civil engineers to permit them to be able to perform their inclement weather note-taking. They were received with raves and thanks for the products which a made their work easier.

The cover is sturdy and fits perfectly in my cargo pocket. It is well sewn and holds the 4 ½ x 3 notebook without having to jam it in.

Great pouch; I use the inside pockets in mine as a wallet. The stiching for the pen holders is inconsistently spaced, but holds a mechanical pencil well. It would be 5 stars if it came with belt loops.

THE NOTEBOOK COVER IS FANTASTIC, BUT I WAS THINKING THAT IT CAME WITH A HARD BACKING PIECE OF LEXAN OR SOMETHING TO GIVE A HARD SURFACE TO WRITE ON FOR THE NOTEBOOK.

It holds notebooks nicely but the 3 slots to hold your pencils or a pen don't work very well. Lets pens and mechanical pencils get lost. At that is not good while working at an airport.

Good design, I was just hoping for something a little bit more specialized to my need but it gives me something to work with. Get general design for someone who wants to keep the pen and pad together in a bag.

This cover is good for a tool kit, not so great for daily Carry. I'd love to see a tsunami or leather cover capable of holding the top bound soft cover notebook (No 978)

I purchased this with great excitement, however upon receiving it, I was very disappointed. To start, it isn't as displayed in the photos, I was sad to see that my cover does not have the stitched label, seems like a very cheap thing to leave out. Next, the overall construction wasn't what I hoped for as it has some loose threads and seems slightly chincy. I'm really hoping that I simply received an outlying bad one.
