I've been using pet friendly snow/ice salt for years. I bought this product because I didn't want my dogs and the feral cats roaming around my house to be walking in the regular harsh salt used to melt snow and ice. This is a pet friendly and safe product for all pets. I don't have to worry about my dogs and the feral cats licking their paws and getting sick. It comes in plastic jugs with easy to use flip lids that open and close easily so all you do is flip the lid open, shake, and know your pets are safe to walk on it. It's very pet and people friendly. It works great, just like the harmful snow/ice melt salt, only this product is safe and won't harm any animal that walks on it and it won't harm the concrete driveway or sidewalks. I highly recommend this pet friendly snow/ice melt product.
Works really well and makes me happy to see it is pet safe
Works great, my dogs have very sensitive paws and this does not bother them, and melts the ice nicely,
The product is great. I've used it before. The problem was the shipping it took forever to get here the storm was over by the time it got here
My dogs had a distinct reaction to the ice melt. They couldn't stand without quivering feet. They cried and licked at their paws. This was after 5 minutes exposure to a light sprinkling applied 24 hours ago. After doing some research and reading the bottle warnings, we determined it is not safe! It still uses salt (magnesium chloride) and crystals can reach 175 degrees when they come into warm room. The salt can burn their paws, mouths and intestines. It is egregious for this company to sell this product as pet safe! Safe Paws is another brand that states they do not use salt, are pet safe and pointed to this product as another unsafe salt based de-icer. We are going to use an ice chipper and not risk our pets health. I do not recommend this product!
Been using this product for many years with no issues and seems they have changed the formula. My concrete driveway has been ate up. Have contacted the mfg of product to place a insurance claim for repair of my driveway because local concrete company told me my damage is from this ice melt.
The only positive about this ice melt is being able to apply easily from the jug. However, it did not melt the ice on my steps after applying four times and it hurt my dog's paws immediately after walking over it. My dog could barely stand and cried when I tried to wipe her paws.
Work poorly Probably the reason itâs Considered safe for your pets is because it is safely away from them under all the snow and ice.
