Replace laserdisc with DVD
Fantastic movie. I have it on laserdisc and the DVD is an improvement. Challenging story to watch, bit really worthwhile.

A window into the Celtic past
A window into the Celtic past with excellent performances by all the actors, but be prepared for some violence and a terrific sword fight at the end.

Great Movie
This was a great movie! The landscape and way of life depicted in this film is very realistic. I've been to Scotland, and every thing looked so familar. The story line is historicaly off a little but it is good. Liam Neeson did a fantastic job as usual. You really need to see this one, it stirs the Scotish blood in us all.

I recently purchased this movie Rob Roy, a great movie, a man who protects his family, his honor. This movie isn't child friendly, there's a lot of killing, sexual scenes that are inappropriate, there's some cussing. Otherwise not a bad movie for the adults to see.

Some sword fighting scenes--dramatic. Not for kids
Some ghastly sword scenes and some "Parental Advise" scenes--not for adolescents or little kids.

My husband loves Braveheart and he considers Rob Roy another top notch film regarding Scottish heros. Definitey worth watching!

This is a good period piece. I especially enjoyed the sword and claymore duel because of its realism.

Wrong DVD
When I received this item in my order it was not the same item I ordered. I have not watched the DVD but the case arrived broken and it appears by the picture on the case it is not the same one. I reached out to Walmart.com and I am receiving a refund but I need to know when or if I will receive the correct one. I was told to not send back or take to the store! Please respond ASAP! Thank you for your consideration in this matter!

A great story of a family man's courage.
The story of a family man that was trying to gain a better life, just to find that a treachery had spoiled his plans. To redeem his good name, he must battle the Lord's of the territory to a final showdown of swordplay with a Lord's minion. This movie slowly builds to the final climax scene. There are heart breaks and victories mixed throughout the story. A good drama film to watch! Try it!
