Straight out of the box ready to work easy to install or change the blade with the blade wrench stored right in the frame of the saw and out of the way. This saw rips plywood as well as 2x4x8 ft studs without stalling out or binding. Change the blade and it cuts metal as smooth as factory cut without heating the metal up. I would definitely recommend this saw for the professional or the hobby weekend wood worker. Plus this is a USA made product.
Light weight and lots of power. A great choice for the home owner or DYIer.
I like this saw. It has a lot of features that makes it easy to use. Power, spindle look, sawdust blower, ease of adjustment, and power on light to name a few.
I have been using this circular saw for a few months, and it fits the bill of this DIY guy. It cuts clean, is light weight yet sturdy. I am well pleased and I have no doubt that I will get years of good service from this saw. I definitely recommend it and I would buy it again.
A decade or two ago I purchased a Skill Circular saw and have abused it a bunch. The latest was when I put a concrete blade on it and cut up a slap to make stepping stones. It still functions, but makes a little bearing noise when I release the trigger. So, I purchased another one and put a 40 tooth blade in it and love the way it cuts. Thanks for build tools I can rely on...!
I have owned many circular saws and this is without a doubt the absolute best I have ever owned. My previous saw, which was replaced by this one, was also a Skil saw, and it just died after more than 25 years of service. I can't complain about that. The one I just purchased has more power and is easier to handle than any others that I have owned. Great product that I highly recommend.
Works very well. It's replacing an old all steel skill saw I inherited from my father. I hope the plastic doesn't hinder it's longevity but so far so good.
I am new at all this but as far as I can tell this is a GREAT tool. It is very easy to use and leaves a clean cut. I have been useing it to remodel my house and the only complaint I have is that I think the cord is too short (thats why they make extention cords, I know). I dont know if they are all like that or not because this is the first one I have ever bought.
Needed to cut up 2x6 deck planks to that I could replace with Trex decking so purchased this for the job. It did a pretty good job but it may have been better with a little more powerful saw. The blade seemed to struggle a little cutting through multiple 2x6's at a time and I had to slow down a bit as it threw a breaker one time. However at the end of the day it did the job. I cut close to 170 linear feet of decking as part of the replacement.
Great saw. Been using SKIL for a while now and needed to replace an older circ saw from another brand and this one fit the bill. My only concern was that it didn.t come with a lefty option but hey not many do!
