I got my first jar opener years ago (and it was the same brand). My arthritic hands just wouldn't let me open so many jars, and I choose glass over metal whenever I can. That opener finally gave up the ghost after a respectable number of years of service, and I was shocked at how much the price increased since I bought my first one. When I saw this pair for the price of just one Robotwist, I ordered it quickly. I am giving the second one to a friend who also has increasing difficulty opening jars. Nothing compares to this opener. I've literally never had a jar it couldn't open (of the jars that it's made to open, meaning not small bottles of catsup and such). My husband and I joke about what we couldn't eat without this little device (now that he has chipped the glass on the rim of more than one jar with the old beat-the-lid-with-the-fat-end-of-a-knife procedure). One note about the design: I would almost swear that my old Robotwist allowed me to press the button once (instead of pressing and holding the button), and it automatically ran until it detected that the lid was off. I don't like having to press and hold the button until the lid pops off. It's a little thing, but the old design was better.

Can’t open jars without it

I like the opener because I have arthritis in my wrist this opener makes opening jars very easy. it works great.

LOVE it! We ended up buying 4! One for our daughter with arthritis. She has used it several times and says it is a lifesaver! One for our son and his wife. We haven't heard if they have used it, yet. One for our other daughter who will get lots of use with her family. And, one for ourselves. We have already used it and it works GREAT!!!

I liked it enough to order two and I'll be ordering several more. The only negative is the use of the on/off control button. Got to read the instructions carefully and then experiment a bit to get the knack of it. It does get the jar lids off and that's the bottom line.

I find the device has a problem grabbing opening mason jar lids, it’s not able to grip them like pop up lids. I am satisfied with the pop up lid opening capability this option it works well. Thanks

The jar opener is good. My complained is I ordered the two pack jar opener and only received one instead of the two that I paid for and you process the full amount. otherwise I guess I will try to continue ordering from you again.

one worked fine the other one does not.

Works on some jars, not others. Does not live up to the "As seen onTV" hype. I"ll still try the Hot Water on the lid before using this. When it works, it's great, when it doesn''t, it's back to the old-school methods.
