Upon receiving this product, the batteries were completely dead. However, after adding 4 fresh AA batteries, it ran like a champ. There are two buttons on the back of the car, one with an arrow, the other without. You press the one without the arrow to activate the lights and engine rev sounds, then press the arrow button to activate the forward motion and additional sounds. The car takes off quickly and goes very far. It plays music, which can be a bit loud and obnoxious when the button is pressed repeatedly. There are lights on the sides and hood of the car. The headlights light up, as well as the word “BREAKOUT” on both side doors. The rims also light up, as does the exhaust. There is an additional set of rims included that can be easily changed and there are toppers for the car included as well (a shark fin and a taxi sign). This is not a remote control car and can only move forward automatically when the button is pushed. There is an on/off switch on the bottom of the car. When the button is not pressed, the car does move forward and backward easily if pushed by hand. Seems to be very well made, as my six-year-old has repeatedly crashed it into other toys and the wall without causing the car any damage.
What a cool car this is! I have a lot to share about it! My 6 year old son absolutely loves it, though he does not play video games so he has no idea what Rocket League is. It has several different features for a child (or adult fan of Rocket League, of course!) to have fun with and appreciate. Lots of lights and game sounds, and boy are the sounds LOUD!!! The best feature is definitely that it’s motorized and it’s quick! We measured the distance from start to finish, and this car went up to 25 feet before it slowed and came to a stop. That’s pretty impressive for a motorized toy car that moves with just a push of a button. The car seems really sturdy (weighing 12.4 ounces, less than 9 inches long, up to 4 inches wide and up to around 2.5 inches tall) and seems hard to break, aside from what is supposed to fall off when it crashes into something at full speed. The four transparent wheel covers and the top yellow taxi piece are what falls off when crashing. (The box shows there should be a second top piece but that piece was missing from the box so my review and pictures do not include that.) When the car “crashes” into something, it makes a crashing noise. Now that’s pretty cool! My son gets a good giggle over that. The pieces are easy to put back on the car, and my son can do it with little to no help. The lights on this car are really bright and fun. The taxi piece on top lights up, as do the plastic clear parts of the car, including the headlights! We really like that the headlights light up. It has two buttons on the rear end of the car. Pushing the black arrow button will make the car “start” and drive. Pushing the red button will turn on the different Rocket League game sounds and lights. These buttons will not work at the same time, but the motor button turns on sounds and lights while it drives anyway. This “Rocket League Light Blast Racer” is a pretty cool and unique toy, and any child who loves cars will get a kick out of this. It’s fast and loud… just what kids like! My son is obsessed with cars so I’m happy to add this to the collection. Probably the coolest one so far!! Even if you don’t know what Rocket League is, this is still an awesome toy! So even more perfect if you’re a fan of the game. It is just like the car in the game!
Great toy for the same reasons Rocket League is a great game: lots of fun without being too difficult or frustrating. You'll notice this from the start with the ease of unboxing. Well made in Vietnam. Car is about 9X5, just the right size. Have extra batteries (4 AAA) handy- the ones that came with ours were getting pretty weak.
From the looks of this car it looks to be alot if fun. I will come back layer to update the review in real time if i am able. The lights look bright. The colors on the picture look awesome. Seems to be a car that children would like and play with alot Looks like a great gift option also. I would recommend giving it a try
its a fun toy and keeps my kids occupied for a long time. It needs batteries, but the batteries are gone for a long time and the colors are cool and my kids get really excited to see all the shining lights on it overall a good toy and would make a perfect Christmas gift for little boys.
This Rocket League Light Blast Racer is an excellent toy . My grandson is 6 and he loves cars and this didn't disappoint. He really likes the lights and sounds . He plays with this car for hours. I like how durable it is and I know he can't brake it. I definitely recommend this product.
The lights make it cool and the music (the beginning jingle ALMOST sounds like Silence of the Lambs) lol It's got cool blue & red lights with the back wheels spinning and it goes (no remote) it does appear a bit cheap so I will let my 3 yr old grandson play with it because he is more gentle than the 5 yr old.. It was made In Vietnam, just FYI some folks like only USA products, if it's good quality I don't care personally. 4 AAA batteries came in it, need replaced
This car is really cute. Has 3 settings, lights up blue and red, and makes noises. There's a lot of small peices and parts. Two different things that can go on the car as well as 4 hubcaps for the wheels. The plastic is a little flimsy so I wouldn't pay more than $10 for this, it takes 3 AAA batteries. It would be worth more if it was rechargeable. I would recommend this toy for friends and family with kids over age 5.
The batteries had leaked and corroded the connector springs. They were rusted and falling apart. Good toy, but batteries should be packaged separately. My 3 year old son was so disappointed. Shame
Arrived broken and obviously used
