Endlessly Reusable

Anonymous September 24, 2021

The Rocketbook allows you to make notes like you normally would on paper but then you can scan it with your phone app and share to other devices. You use a special included Pilot FriXion pen, and once you are done with the page you can wipe it using a damp cloth that is also provided. The flip feature makes it easy for both right and left handed people. There are lines on the front page and then dots if you flip it over to write graphs, etc. This makes it endlessly reusable. It's really neat to use for temporary notes that you want to save elsewhere for later.

It is a notepad with a lot of technology included

Emily September 25, 2021

It looks like a simple notepad, but it works with special pen and special paper. It is like a multi pages whiteboard, you can write down stuff and erase it easily. Also you can take a pic and upload the writing into the app. So backlash it is endless use notebook. I like the idea.

Never loose your notes again

oldnavygirl2u September 27, 2021

I recently ordered the Rocketbook Flip Digital Reusable Notepad. My notepad has a black cover made of a sturdy plastic with the rocketbook logo stamped on the front. The cover is attached with a plastic coil allowing you to flip the cover and pages. The kit includes the notepad, instruction booklet and a specific pen you have to use with the notepad in black ink. The note pad as 16 double sided pages. One side is lined and the other has a faint dotted grid. Each page has a unique code printed in the corner. The pages are waterproof and tear resistant. The have a slightly waxy feel to them. The instructions had me create a document. I created a to do list. I downloaded the app and created an account then followed the on screen instructions to scan the document. It then prompts you to send the document to one or more of the options available such as multiple emails, the cloud, text messages and more. Once I scanned the document and sent to the cloud I used the included microfiber towel, dampened to wipe the page clean. The pages wipe off very easily with the damp towel, but will not wipe off if you try to smear with you finger on a dry page. It truly feels like the ink is dry on the paper. This notebook would work well for students, home office and professionals.

Saving the planet one notebook at a time

Misskitty41 March 18, 2021

Saving the planet one notebook at a time. I purchased the wave first, I loved it but then I found out about the flip book. I much prefer the flip because you can wipe it off with water and a microfiber towel.

Spray bottle was not in packaging. It had the pen, the cloth, and the book , but no bottle. Website said this was a necessary item because you can't use too much water, I have to wet and wring my cloth until I can get a separate spray bottle from a drugstore Travelers size section. Otherwise Its a great book. Write erase reuse the page. No more carrying around a 3 to 5 subject notebook anymore.

Many Benefits

ViperG September 28, 2021

This notebook is not only useful, but environmentally friendly. It helps save the planet by being reusable, therefore cutting down on wasted paper. The included pen is erasable. The .07mm pen writes in black, and has an erasable pen. I would have liked it better if it was a 1.0mm pen, but this pen works fine. It has the feel of a gel pen, writing very smooth and consistent. The eraser works well, BUT, if you press hard on the writing surface, it WILL leave behind a permanent indentation on the page. The 16 page pad is two-sided. 8 pages are lined, and 8 pages are blank. The other great use is that everything you write can be scanned and uploaded to your clouds, simply by downloading and using the companion ROCKETBOOK App. Overall, this ROCKETBOOK FLIP Reusable Smart Notebook has an endless number of uses. The smart notebook is very durable. The included pen is very comfortable to use, and it's an extremely practical solution to large notebooks with tear out pages that just go to waste. Everything you need know about how to get the most out of the ROCKETBOOK is all included in an easy to read pamphlet, with links to the ROCKETBOOK website. As someone who constantly writes notes and lists, it's great to have just one notebook where I reference everything. The erasable feature is useful, and being able to save, convert, and store my notes are a fantastic feature.

Great reusable note pad

Coljam21 September 25, 2021

A reusable notepad. What a great idea. I'm impressed with this notepad. I love that it's not bulky and the pages are not made of paper so they are super durable. The pen glides across the pages and makes writing pretty fun. The eraser on the pen works beautifully and is less messy than having to wet the micro fiber cloth with water to clean the pages. I left off 1 star because you the ink of the included frixon pen will smudge if you touch it immediately after writing.

Almost pointless?

ERDreviews November 8, 2021

So I was expecting something a bit different. This is basically a single use notebook. It’s a notebook with slightly silkier paper and an erasable pen. You have to buy their pens for it to work and they imprint a lot because the pens have such fine points. The “digital” aspect is an app that you upload pictures of your notes to and it saves them. It just doesn’t make sense to me I guess, it doesn’t seem easier or more sustainable to use this system. The packaging was nice and simple, organized. Instructions are clear. I just don’t think it’s useful to me.

Kind of cool but gimmicky and unnecessary

gilbertgmc September 21, 2021

I've seen the Rocketbook pop up for sale from time to time and never really understood what it was. Was it a tablet for notetaking? Does it transmit what you write directly to a file on your PC? I wasn't sure what to expect so when I got it, I was surprised at how basic it was. It's a nice sturdy spiral flip notebook with a strong plastic cover. It has 16 pages inside of a sort of thin plastic material that acts like paper, flips like paper but doesn't tear. It came with a Pilot FriXion Pen that I believe is specially made for this type of paper. It writes just like writing on paper and dries in about 10-15 seconds. You can wipe it off by dampening the cloth it comes with. Now the technological part of it is interesting. You download the Rocketbook app on your phone. Create an account and then it gives you a walk through on how to do several things. It "scans" the page when you hold your phone over it and then you're able to upload that image anywhere you want it to go; an email, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Photos, text it to a friend, etc. It pulls up in my email as a pdf file and looks okay but the picture has odd smudges on it. You are also able to write ##any name## on the page in order for it to automatically name the file whatever you put within the hashtags, for efficiency. You can also create a URL for it and send that to your friends/colleagues. So my final verdict, is, aside from being able to re-use the pages in the Rocketbook, everything it accomplishes can easily be done with a regular paper notebook. You can write in a notebook, snap a picture of whatever you wrote and text it somewhere, email it to someone, send the picture to your Google Drive or Dropbox, or just look at the picture on your phone when you need to. There are countless pdf converters if you need it to be in pdf format. It's kind of cool in a "Save the Trees" type of way, but I honestly think this is just another unnecessary innovation to clutter your life with more places to lose track of important files/information.

Reusable Notepad

Dean October 5, 2021

I received and have been using the Rocketbook Flip Digital Reusable notepad for a few days now. It’s an 8.5” x 11” Black Covered notepad that comes with an erasable ink pen and cloth. You simply use water to remove the ink after it fully dries. The pages feel like paper with a slick coat. I can’t quite describe the material used. The pen writes fairly smooth and the paper erases with minimal effort. The pages are filled with dotted grids I image for the app to transcribe the notes and save to the cloud storage you set up. I find this useful for saving important docs but honestly, you can just take a pic and do the same thing. I don’t see myself using this product much as the idea is nice but really it adds extra steps just to save and re-use a notepad. I can’t imagine this lasting long as a product with all the lightweight tablets and apps on phones that do a lot of what this does without the requirement of a notepad. Can’t say I would recommend this product to anyone. Seems like a dated concept still using ink and paper.
