The Rocky C4T Boot was the most comfortable and flexible boot I've come across. Durable and the high ankle lace helped stabilize my ankle.
Comfortable and durable. Takes about a week to break in for full comfort experience.
I love the way they look and feel on my feet. When I was in the Army I always wanted a pair. Glad I finally do.
I bought a pair of these boots about 5 years ago and loved them, NO break in period they are like walking on air. I wore those out and tried other boots but bought another pair of these boots about a month ago, and wear them for Duty every shift. These make long days on the firearms range easy on the feet and knees.
I have owned multiple pairs of them, the fact that they make a wide, and they are so lightweight. It's like wearing a tennis shoe. I use them all the time for Search and Rescue Work My only complaint is the center tread on the outside peels off after about four months of heavy use it separates from the soul, I've had 6 pairs of these and everyone of them did it, the only reason I continue to buy them is the comfort and the fit, hopefully someday they will figure out how to make the treads stay on. It's only the outside row of lugs in the middle.
I absolutely loved these boots, but unfortunately had to return because the lace eyelets set off the metal detector at work. Taking them off every day would've been a pain so I've returned them. Is this isn't a problem for you don't hesitate to order these boots! Comfortable right out of the box!
Second pair of these I've owned. Lightweight, flexible, and fast. Willing to compromise ankle protection for speed, weight, and mobility. Biggest flaw is the outsole is not good on wet surfaces. Wet tiles, linoleum, metal, or even some concrete and these will become ice skates. If Rocky fixes this issue these will be an almost perfect boot for my needs, unfortunately the grip is too big of an issue to ignore.
This is my second pair of c4ts/Ry008s (seem to be the same boot, just different name depending on where you buy them) so I'm really familiar with the boot as a whole. If you're looking for lightweight and flexibility? These things can't be beat. Almost the entire upper area of the boot is fabric, which you can see from the photos, so not a lot in terms of protection. But for my needs I'm willing to sacrifice the protection for how light and quick they are. The BIGGEST problem these boots have is the outsole. There is quite literally NO traction or grip once you're on a wet, smooth surface. Sure, you can easily run in these things, can probably even do a marathon, but the second your foot hits a puddle of water on things like tile, linoleum, metal, or even smooth brick/concrete flooring you WILL go flying. I'm not exaggerating or saying be careful, I am careful and mindful. It's just that the grip is so bad that they literally become ice or roller skates at the thought of water. I know the website claims these are oil/slip resistant but I genuinely don't think that's true/an empty promise that doesn't require testing to say. If Rocky can improve the traction on these boots, maybe with more rubber and a lightweight but effective and still flexible lug pattern, I genuinely think these would be almost the perfect boot for my needs, and I'd be a life long customer. Unfortunately the traction is such an issue that I will likely be on the hunt again within the year looking for another lightweight, flexible, and mobile boot. Danner Tachylon is the next one I got my eye on, they're a little heavier but similar design and hopefully the lug pattern helps with slippage.
Have been wearing for a few months and the soul is starting to peal apart
Boots are light and comfortable, build around the sole is not good. I bought 4 months ago, I work inside a jail facility, smooth concrete all around working 12 hour shifts. The soles are already worn out and ungluing. Had to buy some other boot.
