It saved me from a plumber's bill I can't afford. I didn't use water for ten hours, and then used everything normally. I still had some surface effluence from the cleanout for two days. Now I can't even hear any gurgling from the pipes anymore , just a "whoosh."
I think I used this before years ago and it did well but this time I used it and it fizzled right out of the toilet all over the floor so it did not do the job. I might not have read the instructions the second time but it must have been good enough for me to purchase a second time. I just used bleach to unclog the toilet drain instead.
I've used this product for the past 5 or 6 years. It works very well, dissolving tree roots in the sewer pipe. The foam expands to fill the pipe instead of running in a stream along the bottom. the last time I failed to used this, it cost $400 for a plumber to come out and fix the problem. This is an excellent product.
This root killer was a godsend for me. I had called the plumbers 11 times for backups and was at my wits end. I have a large live oak in my yard that sends out "hairy" roots that were infiltrating my main drain line. Insurance wouldn't send a camera in, and I only found out through one helpful promber what the problem was. Roebic's instructions are to flush a jar of this once every six months. The plumber said it wouldn't hurt to do it more frequently. I haven't had to call a plumber for the problem for over 3 years now. A small price to pay to have a clean drain line. And the ingredients are county approved. Thank you!
I use this item every six months to help with the plumbing issues I had with my home. It was backed up really bad and I was told that I had root problems and was recommended to use this product. Its been a couple of weeks so far since I last had to pay a plumber to come out to unstop my pipes so its been doing good so far.
This product works great. It is cheaper than the bigger store I was buying it from. I have old ceramic pipes and roots grow into them and I use this product once a year, for about 4 years now, and have not had any issues since. Easy to use, highly recommend.
I have an ongoing problem of roots getting into the joints of my clay pipe sewer lines (House built in 1955) and it backs up the sewage into the house. This root killer is a miracle. I have even had a complete blockage, and we used to use a rented snake to get it free, but even when the pipes are clogged this stuff works. I shut off the water in the house between 12 midnight, and 6 am, then flush the toilet next to the exiting waste pipe, and then use a second one out alongside of the driveway on the way to the street (50 foot driveway) by placing it in the sewer pipe vent exhaust stack. I placed a little water in there first. In the sixth hour the pipes are completely clean and good for another 3 months. Save a fortune over what you would spend by having a plumber do it. Use this one time and you are sold.
I use this every six months because the tree roots get in my drains and clog the pipe. My plumber recommended I use this every six months. Not sure how well it is keeping my drains clear of roots but I can tell you I have not had to get my drains cleaned since I started to use this. My only issue this time with purchasing this, is the lid came off of the bottle during transit and I had the content of the bottle loose in the box. Contacted customer service and they refunded my money.
Wanted to try either chemicals or enzymes before having to pay plumber to snake and cut any roots. Toilet is not bubbling when I run washing machine, so that is my indirect proof that something has changed. I will buy this Root Killer again from Walmart in 6 months to help keep mainline flowing.
As a professional plumber I always recommend a foaming root killer over traditional copper sulfate. Needed 4-1%23 containers for a particular job and ordered it online. 3 were delivered in 1 package and 1 on its own. Went to use it and 3 were fresh, easily mixed up the 2 powders and applied. The last bottle I went to use it and it was all chunky. Literally had to hammer it out of the bottle with a hammer and screwdriver. Bottle was not opened so it was either old stock or got moisture in it. The powder was no longer a powder but more of a plaster. 3 containers foamed up properly, 1 was useless even after literally pounding it into smaller chunks. I Recommend that they package the 2 product ingredients separately / foaming agent and root killer. Most likely the foaming agent absorbed moisture and ruined the mixed turning it into literally rock. The present toilet paper separator isn't the fix. Overall the 3 other bottles worked / foamed as designed. The one was a waste of time. A different product competitor manufacturer learned this years back and has designed their similar product into a 2 container mix. I I Had a case of 48%23, I sent back because of this exact issue. That was a very expensive lesson they learned.
