i am very pleased with the roku streaming devices i purchased i have them on 5 different tvs in my house i love love them so much better than cable or satellite TV and the cost is also great the picture quality is amazing as well one of the best decisions made purchasing these roku devices

great %26obvious emergency entertainment. If all else fails, keep a backup.

This item came quickly and was easy for me to install and I am not a young person.

The Roku provides me a wealth of viewing options - both free and by subscription - . the picture quality is excellent and the remote is easy to operate. I bought It to replace an older model that I bought eight years ago. There is no comparison. Installation was a little confusing since it loaded the Roku app directly to my Samsung smart TV. If I run Roku from my TV rather than from the Roku remote - and then attempt to launch an app that was already installed on my TV - the Roku app asks me to subscribe or enter my account info. I quickly learned that -for me - it makes more sense to use the Roku remote for apps that are not already installed or available on my TV and use the TV's remote for others. I absolutely recommend it.

I had this streaming player about a year or two and it has constant over heating issues . I repeat the steps of unplugging at least 10 mins but still over heats? I am disappointed as I switched from the fire stick to Roku after hearing such great things and cutting the cord. If roku doesnt improve it will loose valuable customers so improved.

Why the Tech Spec always leave out the WIFI specs is strange, but right off the bat I was annoyed to see this stick didn't see the dual band 5 Ghz channels. So I guess it only supports 2.4Ghz. Too bad this wasn't in the specs I would not have bought it! I guess due to the limited speed, streaming 4K is dicey at best, I watched a netflix 4K movie last night and it was so pixelated, it looked like 640x480 !

Sometimes I can watch a whole movie without a problem. However, Often it loses connection with my router. The device is in the same room as the router. I try restarting the Roku. I know the problem is not with the router because my laptop connects just fine to it. Sometimes the it takes minutes to reconnect, sometimes it takes over an hour. There is no way to predict which it will be. I have a different Roku device in another room, and that one stays connected.

This product is completely worthless it works about 30% of the time. I reached out to Roku and was told they would replace it. They did and the other one was just as bad, if not worse. It has no way for it to turn off just goes in to a screen saver mode causing it to over heat. This has made it so anytime we go to watch something on it the audio is glitching or the video is. The work around that we have figured out is to unplug it after use. This is incredibly annoying .
