Roku is a Great Choice
I love the ease of Roku to watch steaming channels. I had a little difficulty setting up the program. I texted with the support person. They called me and charged $56 to answer question. I have set up several Roku systems. It is easy to set up. Avoid support person it isn't free. Be sure to try plugging in to an outlet instead of tv. I love my Roku even though I encountered problems. It is easy to hook up to internet. The navigation is easy. I don't encounter buffering very often. The shipping is fast.

Price is right
Easy setup I had the fire stick on my mom's TV for years, before it went out. I wondered if I could turn her TV into Roku. I saw this on the Walmart website cheaper than the fire stick and purchased it. Setup was fast and easy. It only took me about 10 minutes.

Excellent, affordable tech that does SO MUCH!
I have a 14-yr-old flat screen, so not a smart TV. The Roku Express was so easy to connect and get up and running - the entire process took about 15 minutes. The hardest part was lifting that heavy old TV off its wall-mount and then putting it back up!

Fast and compact
It was bought for an elderly person in his 90s. The roky is very tiny and compact but it does overheat. You can touch it with your fingers and it is hot! I don't know how long it'll last but it did not slow down the Roku. The Roku is fast and was bought so they can use the apps on it.

All I did was plu into senor box and the other end plugs into back of t.v , then one cord into light socket, when you turn t.v on change input to Roku whichever input u plugged your Roku into and follow the prompts!! Super easy! Self explanatory!! Super happy 😁

Can't keep up with the app updates
Worked great when first installed but in time picture became glitching across apps so wasn't able to handle updates for YouTube TV without freezing and getting glitches so I had to update my roku to the 4k stick.

Could Have Been Five Stars
This Roku device is snappy %26 fast. It is far faster/smoother than my Fire Edition HDTV. Overall, the Roku OS is user friendly. It even comes with quality Duracell batteries for the remote. Initial setup/activation was simple, so you may wonder why the three-star rating? This model includes a "simple" remote, so there is NO HDTV volume/channel controls. The included HDMI cable is only 22.5 inches long. It was approx. 6 inches too short for my install, so add the cost of approx. $7.00 for a generic 3ft HDMI cable. In addition, unlike the 2019 model Roku NO longer includes an USB to AC power adapter. I needed one, so add an additional $6.00. My total cost of buying/installing this device: approx. $37.00 before taxes. Makes the initial selling price of $24.00 less appealing. Here is what is in the box: (1) Roku device... (1) USB cable... (1) SHORT HDMI cable... (1) Remote control... (1) Pair of Duracell batteries... (1) Roku Literature... (1) Velcro mount for the device with adhesive backing (which will fail in less than 6 months.) IF Roku had included a longer HDMI cable along with an USB to AC adapter this purchase would of have been a solid five stars. Yes, I would recommend it, but be prepared to possibly have to buy a longer HDMI cable %26 USB to AC adapter. Please keep in mind there is NO ethernet port on this device, so you must have a wireless router.

Items ordered from walmart.com arrived used
Two of these devices were shipped to my home and were obviously previously used and returned and re-sold as "new." Both boxes had the contents put back in the box wrong, one of them was not even closed, the other had the top of the box torn up and taped back together. When attempting to exchange these in store, I discovered the last few hours the store is open no employee is equipped to handle returns and I was told to come back another day.

I have owned several Roku TV controls and they all had a plug on the remote for ear jack so with earphones one could get volume directly to the ears. For someone with hearing loss this is a Miracle option. Unfortunately this new devise did not. Huge loss for me - retuned.

Stuck on reboot/update
It’s been stuck on the “update available” pop up for three days now. As soon as I purchased the device I went to start it up and still haven’t been able to set it up because it says “the device will now update to latest software” and then takes me back to the “let’s get started” menu. It does its wireless scan and once again it takes me to the “update available” pop up. What a waste of time and money. I’ve tried wifi and hotspot and nothing works. I can’t believe I spent over three hours trying to set this up as soon as I got home. And then I went to the website and it’s not helpful at all. There is literally no way to contact Roku support after digging for two hours on their website. The first Roku I bought as a gift 2 years ago was perfect but this new one is just trash. At this point I don’t care about the return I just need it to work
