STRONGLY RECOMMEND. My sister gave my brother and I one of these for Christmas one year. He and I both forgot about them. Much later, I ended up throwing mine away, but my brother kept his and eventually set it up and used it. This was MY purchase and a gift to myself. Best thing on the planet. Buy it NOW!

Had an older Samsung tv that wouldn't work with apps unless I had an older Roku streamer plugged in. Then that also failed to work without an hdmi cable . This upgraded Roku streamer had the hdmi cable the tv needed to work without the apps again!!

Pros: The device is small and unobtrusive.. It can be attached to your TV with an included double sided adhesive strip. It can be powered by your TV via an included USB cable eliminating the need for a power cord and power adapter (which are included). Cons: Peacock streaming service is not available from Roku (at this writing). If powered via a USB connection on the TV the device is only powered when the TV is on. It takes a few seconds for the device to boot and its input to be recognized by the TV.

This solved so many issues for me. My tv is a little older so I could only watch Hulu on my laptop but now I can see it on my 42 inch tv screen. Also I had a steaming exercise app on my iphone . I tried all kinds of converting cables to see it on my tv. I simply added the app using this Roku and now I can workout with great sound and a big screen. So cool! Great purchase.

I do like the interface of this Roku. I don't like the simple remote that's included. It took me a while to figure out how to turn it and the tv off after using it. Still can't control the sound with simple remote that's included.

I really like this model as it allows me to get the full effect of the great picture my large smart TV (Samsung) is built for. I wish I had bought a model with voice search (I thought that's what I way buying as the picture on WM showed a voice symbol on the remote ! ?) What I do NOT like about this model is the way it "freezes" everything up once in awhile, at these times I am unable to use the TV or Comcast remote to return to the cable source, even turning the TV off will not solve it at times. Have to UNPLUG the RuKu from the HDMI (a pain) and plug back in. My other model, the lowest priced model they make, DOES NOT DO THIS !

Very easy to set up and get going. The only thing I've found wanting in this product is the lack of HBO Max as a choice of streaming service apps in their list. It is a fairly new service offering so maybe a software update in the near future will correct that. Also, the fact that the module has to be in a direct line with the remote control was surprising as well. They do provide an adhesive strip to the device to attach it to the side or bottom of your TV.

This didn't work for me. If you use the USB power from the TV, it will take some time to power up, connect to Wi-Fi, and start. I tried using the wall plug to provide power and had HDCP errors. Bottom line, not worth the hassle. I went back to my old Roku Express 4K.

This item is very small and constantly overheats, even with the AC on. It never shuts off like my older larger 1080 version. I am very happy that I purchased the extended warranty as I believe this unit will fail eventually and I had thrown away the packaging, otherwise I would have returned it and bought the bigger 4k unit. I always unplug it from the power supply when not in use. Hopefully that will extend it's life.

I do not recommend this because it does not work with the TVs volume on off button or anything you must have the original remote. It's hard enough to keep up with one more remote. Now 2. Not for me at all the inconvenience was all in the remote and that's my fault. I didn't read into further details
