Bought this camera a few months ago for my animals while I'm gone or to watch them at night and they work great. The features are amazing and so many to choose from. Night vision is a great feature as well.
I bought these cameras as a security feature on my rental house because my ex husband moved out and kept trying to get in my house. He found out 1 day he showed up that I have cameras. He hasn't showed back up since. I love every feature on these. They are 100% perfect. Highly recommend.
App don't work in Canada.
I have six of these cameras, and they all freeze up, and then loose their connection to my ROKU ultra ultimate streaming player. These cameras provide a fleeting glimpse before freezing. Roku needs to re design this camera system, and should take the existing cameras off the shelves until it has a working system. It's a sad shame!
You'd think it would be a quick and easy setup. Wrong. I spent over an hour getting just one camera to fully connect; keep in mind that while it was giving me trouble connecting/updating, I was getting movement-detected notifications. But when I clicked on the notifications, I got the same error. After getting one fully connected and running, I tried setting up the second. I couldn't get past the update, and again, I was getting movement-detected notifications the entire time. I gave up and went about my tasks, and within 30 minutes, both cameras were offline and won't reconnect. I will be returning these and getting a different brand!
Bought a 2 pack Christmas last year(2024). They will not connect to finish setup for anything. 2.4 ghz connection? Check Smart Home app installed? Check Power source? Check Proper distance? Check Nothing. Not just from the cameras, not one response from the "customer service" line. I would never recommend these cameras to anyone. Given the complete disregard for the customer, and the absolutely worthless product itself, I will be reevaluating my prior commitment, promotion, and overall enthusiasm using roku products as a whole
I have 3 cameras. The first one I got for my kids room. It worked great. Then I went and got a 2 pack because I swore by them. Well a month or so later it's not so great. The live stream works for like 10 seconds then starts lagging really bad. I tried everything. From restarting the camera to restarting my wifi to deleting the camera and reinstalling it. Nothing is working. The live feed lagging is my main issue.
I have bought a total of ten / twelve Roku cameras , two Roku TVs. They a Mediocre ant best, do not function at all at there worst. Lags incessantly, tells me I can't view some.videos ( even though I've paid for a subscription for close to a couple of years). They will respond to this post telling me all the ways to reset or call customer service… believe me I've so many times every “solution” that's been given. The whole point of security cameras is having peace of mind… instead Roku makes unreliable products and gives poor customer service l. It's easy to get suckered into the low prices( clearly I have).. I would do anything to return all of their products if I could ..and use the money to buy from ANYONE OTHER COMPANY.. ps don't give them as gifts as I did bc it's embarrassing when they don't work… thanks again Roku !!!
I LOVED the Roku camera and it's what I recommended to anyone that was looking for cameras for their homes. I didn't have the subscription because without it you could still get snapshot pictures of what triggered the motion detected alarm. With us being on an extremely tight budget that feature was unexplainably important because we can shell out extra money each month for a subscription. Roku has now changed that feature as of 3 days ago and now unless you're watching the live feed you don't receive any knowledge of what was happening in your cameras view. Extremely disappointing because I really did love the cameras for their price point and because they didn't force you to get a subscription but now they are forcing you to
Bought a Roku indoor camera and installed a 32 gig card. After downloading the app, I could view events on the card through the app and view through the camera real time on my phone. I purchased 2 more cameras and was going to install them but I could not see new events anymore. Tried to backup and reload the memory card but it still wouldn't show new events. After reading the instructions again, I am not getting new events on the memory card so I tried to call for support. No support! Chat bot support is worthless and NO REAL SUPPORT !!! I would NOT suggest buying the Roku line of products because when they do not work, you will have no recourse. BTW I have 3 Roku indoor cameras for sale cheap…
