Roku SE Streaming Media Player

I got this streaming device on last Cyber Monday to be used on the guest's room. Now I am so happy to have it because my entire family is indoors because COVID 19. This item is really good, lot of options and so many movies and series that my children can watch just what they want. This is definetly better than cable and cheaper than buy a new smart TV!

I had a Roku device back before people I knew, even knew what it was. Iwas happy with it until when moving, it was lost. So when I moved in my own apt. I purchased another. Very easy to set up following instructions including using Roku.com Found a few newer free straming channels since I had last used a Roku. I only pay for Netflix, anthing else is free. Even Vudu has some free movies. Works well for me. I can watch tv shows,3 choices for me of Christian programing channels, garden tips, exercising, so much and except for Netflix my programs are free. Sure that pay channels probably have large selection. Now in this global pandemic, I don't miss the movie theaters.

I love Roku! It's so easy to use just plug and play. This is a replacement for my old Roku and it's a lot faster. Best way to watch Netflix on any TV.

After owning a Roku TV. I wanted to transform my mothers good conditioned traditional tv into a Roku. Thankfully this was on sale! This was super easy to set up! This works amazing! Very easy to use. Thank god for this system! Love it! Must have!

This was very easy to set up. My husband was amazed that I was able to do it all by myself! Since hooking it up we have enjoyed many hours of netflix movies and other shows. So glad we finally got it.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my grandma. She recently retired and spends most of her time watching documentaries and true crime shows, especially now during the pandemic since she can't go out. I'm glad she got it because her older one was obsolete and she always talks about how "powerful" this new one is. I have an Ultra myself and I love mine as well so we like to call each other on Sundays and I'll walk her through different apps and how to adjust her settings.

The roku se has been very enjoyable in our house. Has many different apps for both tv and movies. Only issues I have encountered have been 1. HDMI cable; apparently the one that came with it had a flaw and kept losing connection; worked fine when I replaced it 2. Have had a few instances where it will stop transmitting sound to the soundbar; haven't yet figured this one out but turning the soundbar off and back on seems to help fix it. This usually only happens when fast forwarding or rewinding/replaying sections. Overall this is a very nice product and I have actually added one to each room.

I'm new to streaming, trying to get rid of cable bill. I bought two Roku SE media players at a very reasonable price. Overall, I'm pleased with the product, but will probably purchase a Roku product that includes volume control, etc. to eliminate having to use two remotes.

Purchased two, each under $20! Wasn't thrilled I had to provide a credit card during set-up because I am only interested in the free options/channels. According to Roku, they require this information to "make it easier" on you in the future if you want to purchase any movies/channels/etc... I just call it easier for my information to be stolen or to accidentally purchase something I didn't want (but so far, so good!) There is quite a lot of free content! I recommend downloading the Roku app on a smartphone for easier navigation but I usually do use the remote. It's just tedious when entering account info like emails and passwords, for regular viewing navigation the remote itself is easy. Having the app on your phone allows you to use a headset for private listening which is an option on more expensive Roku devices. I am able to use apps like Netflix with the Roku which I prefer over using the app on my Blu-ray device. The Roku responds quicker. Naturally, if you have a smart TV (I don't) then you may not need this device. I recommend it for non-smart TV's.

For some reason this little product seem to have problems. Have to disconnect, re-connect, gets on my nerves.
