[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Roku Wired Outdoor Camera through Influenster to test, and here's my experience using it. First off, the setup was surprisingly straightforward. The instructions were clear, and connecting it to my Roku account took only a few minutes. The wired connection gives a sense of reliability since I don't have to worry about battery life, which is a big plus for outdoor cameras. In terms of video quality, I was impressed. The 1080p resolution captures clear, sharp images both during the day and at night. The night vision works well, though like most cameras, the colors are muted in darkness. Motion detection is accurate, and I appreciate the instant notifications on my phone whenever activity is detected. I also like that it integrates with the Roku app, so I can view the live feed and recorded clips without switching between multiple apps. The camera is weather-resistant, and so far it has held up well against rain and wind. On the downside, the wired setup means I had to do a bit of drilling and cable management to mount it where I wanted, which might be tricky for some. Also, some features, like longer cloud storage, require a subscription, so keep that in mind. Overall, I've found the Roku Wired Outdoor Camera reliable, easy to use, and effective for keeping an eye on my property. It's a solid choice if you want a dependable wired camera with good integration into the Roku ecosystem.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so impressed by the clarity of this camera. If you can see the picture where I have the white circle and X that's how far my gate is from my place. It is very far so I can never hear or see packages coming. Installation was so easy it took me literally 27 minutes. The cord being long was so good for what I needed and the weatherproof cords make it look like it'll last forever.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THANK YOU ROKU for helping me catch the creature getting into my trashcan and shredding the bags for MONTHS! I was absolutely at my wits end, and then I got this nifty little camera. It is so cheap at only 50 bucks. I plugged it in next to our grill, aimed it at the trashcan, and literally night one finally had answers! The app is amazing and all you have to do is set it to notify you with motion alerts. When I woke up in the morning, it had a notification saying there had been a pet caught on camera – I checked it out and saw this raccoon sneaking into my trashcan! I finally have answers. Absolutely love this camera and check out how good the night vision looks!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera was super easy to install and setup. I love that it tells me if it is a person or a pet that walks in the camera view! The video quality is excellent! And I really like that you can speak through the camera. Love that it gives you a two week trial subscription to really see if you like it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the brand Roku. It has become a brand my husband trust. This outdoor camera has a great camera that takes quality pics and videos. We placed it on the back deck to watch anyone messing around our house. Definitely worth the money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We set this outdoor camera up on the backporch. Mainly. We wanted to keep an eye out for our cats, and also the occasional raccoon. Because this camera will automatically notify us if motion or sound is detected. One drawback noticed was the times that leaves would set the motion detection off, and that happened frequently. Its also weatherproof and has a 2 way call feature ,which allows for cat calls from the couch .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We placed this on our shed for extra security. I've been looking for an easy option to pop up just to cover the blind spot in our backyard. The night vision and quality is good, similar to the Ring Doorbell's quality. My only complaint is that I wish it came with cord clips so I can run it flush along the trim of my shed without the wire feeling like it's just dangling there.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try this outdoor camera. We have a lot of wildlife, so it was interesting to see who all visits overnight. The camera itself is nice. The picture quality in both day and night is really good! The reason I can't give it higher stars is that once the trial for clips is over, it's a pay-only device for any clips or events. So although I can leave it out to look at it for a live view, I can never again see what's happening overnight while I sleep unless I pay for a subscription. A simple fix would have been to include an option for users to put an SD card in, and allow us to record items locally. This was a huge disappointment, as it is not in my budget.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, such cameras must have memory card so we can see recordings. If they dont come with memory card, then app should come without subscription cost attached to it. Motion detection is good but comes with only 15 days of free subscription with first time users.
This camera and the app/customer service has given me problems for nearly 4 years now. Every single month they "have trouble processing my payment." Just yesterday I finally decided to ask them about it and there was a "glitch" in my subscription apparently. So they cancelled it and I had to renew it manually. Yet, as listed in the images provided, I have done EVERYTHING in my power to get my cameras functioning how they did just a month ago. And NOTHING works. It's absolutely ridiculous, I pay for the cameras to function, and they don't function. It's the ONE thing they're supposed to do!!! Catch motion!! And they don't!!!! Stick with Ring, Blink, or Eufy. I wish I had.
