Rollplay Steam Train 6-Volt Battery Ride-On Vehicle

I bought this train to use as part of our Christmas tree display to replace a toy train we could no longer find. Despite being a ride-on toy, this was a perfect replacement. The forward and reverse switches allow the train to run without a rider. It even comes with steps, so this could work as part of a display for action figures ranging from 3.75" to 6". The train is a little loud, but I believe some noise-dampening material could be applied internally to reduce the decibels if you are willing to take it apart. This train really isn't for toddlers though, there is too much torque/acceleration when the engine engages, so they will likely fall off if they don't have an iron grip and abs of steel. It's perfect for our 6 year old, our bigger kid tends to weigh it down a bit. Both kids are able to ride it at the same time, but it really struggles on the corners when they do.

Great toy for our 3yr old. He is tall but light, so is perfect for his size. We don't use the steam feature bc you need a lot of water and we don't like the mess of water around. Tracks can create diff shapes. Sometimes we do circles, other time ovals. Kid loves the train and the attached compartment is usually filled with toys inside. We bought this for like $80 while on sale, but similar items are more expensive. So this train is a good deal! Best of all, it comes already assembled!!

My 3yr old and 2yr old LOVE this! I haven't even shown them the steam yet. Only issues with it are that my 3yr old likes to lean back when sitting on it causing it to derail. He is getting the hang of it though. This was a massive hit on Christmas! Super happy I caught it on sale too!

My 1.5 year old daughter loves this choo choo. the steam and sounds are fun for her. it's easy to get on and off and turn on without assistance. the only issue is that it slows down a lot on the turns so she will rock back and forth on it to get it to go faster, which causes it to come off the track. she's a little under 20 lbs, so it's not a weight issue. she also has trouble turning it off instead of reverse because of the way the switch is, but i'm sure that will improve in time.

This is the cutest ride on toy ever. My child absolutely loves it and I'm very happy with the purchase. It does require you to charge the battery for 18 hours before first use, ours worked right away, but I'd recommend unboxing and charging before gifting just in case.

I might edit this. My son loves trains!! We got him this for his birthday, I saw that it had a steam setting which will imitate a steam train, I think he will love that so much. The box was a decent size when we got it, looks like it will be perfect for 3 year olds.

it was very frustrating Christmas morning trying to get it set up before the baby arrived we actually had to unscrew the whole bottom because inside there was a plug that was not connected so it would not go since that plug was plugged in it works perfectly fine it's adorable my granddaughter loves it

imIt is do noisy that you cannot hear the 3 whistle sounds and sounds like a scrubbing sound and nothing like a train. Jumps off track a lot and is a lot smaller than i thought it would be. My grandson finally likes it but definitely not worth the money. He was scared of it to begin with because it jerks really hard when starting up.

my daughter was riding this does not atay on track and it cracked on the side and lifted her up extremely dissatisfied eould return if i did not disguard the box

I ordered two of these as Christmas gifts and was extremely disappointed to find that both boxes were incomplete. One box contained only the tracks, with no ride-on train, and the other box contained only the ride-on train, with no tracks. I'm left wondering if these were returned items, with pieces missing. This is absolutely unacceptable, and I expect a resolution.
