RONY 128GB Digital Voice Recorder: 9296 Hours Rechargeable Voice Activated Recording Device with Playback for Lectures Meetings Interviews

This recorder is better made than any I have see or had in the last decade. It has a solid feel and the size is perfect. It is easy to learn and use. Most importantly, the built-in rechargeable battery life is excellent. Even at the highest quality of recording the capacity is enormous; 90 hours. I have had brand-name recorders at three times the cost of this one which were not worth a dollar. Kudos to RONY for an excellent product at an unbeatable price!

I was surprised at the weight of this item. It is heavy and tough. I've dropped it several times [81 years old] on both soft and hard surfaces and it survived unscathed. The audio quality is very good considering the tiny size. A better display would be nice, but is acceptable. I like the one button control for record and save-so simple and easy. I use it to take notes to help remember my daily tasks. Very pleased with item.

The recorder was just as described. Very easy to use right out of the box. Sound quality is very good for the price, better than I thought it would be. The line-in feature was one of the selling points for me. It was easy to transfer files directly from an old digital recorder.

Recommendation comes with a caveat. If you already are familiar with operating a similar device this is probably a good deal. If you're not familiar with operating a similar device the instructions included with this device are inadequate and you'll likely spend quite a bit of time figuring it out on your own.

the audio is good, picks up every small sound even crickets. HOWEVER, i was waiting to write this review to see if there are flaws not mentioned in other reviews. First off, the recorder tends to freeze when deleting multiple audio files so you gotta wait for it to unfreeze. I have not had this thing for too long, ordered it around October and it is now February and it no longer works as before. Keeps saying “disk error” whenever i try to record or even enter my audio files, cant even connect it to my laptop to listen to the audios easier. I used a little needle to reset it and it completely erased everything i believe since it keeps saying “disk error” so now i lost a very valuable audio i wanted to listen to. So please be wary when buying this, unfortunately this recorder seems like the best one i could find out there. I also recommend putting velcro on it if you want to stick it somewhere since it is quite heavy.

I was expecting for this mini recorder to pick up the sounds around me ( based off of the reviews) and give me some good playback. However when i tried recording things that were at a distance, it played back with a lot of static, even after I made the necessary adjustment within the machine to have it minimized. Overall, it's ok for close range and is easily portable and concealable, but you can expect some additional noises.

The voice activated does not work. I’ve tried every little thing you could possibly do to get it to work, but it will not. I went on the site, There was no support available. They only try to sell you more things. It does record every little bird, a tweet, every airplane that passes or train in the distance. That’s about it.

I received my voice recorder three weeks ago and I have yet to learn how to use it. It is complex and complicated. The instructions are terribly difficult to follow or understand. There is no customer service dedicated to the operation and use of this product. If I don't learn how record, set up, and charge, I will have to return it before my return opportunity expire.

Controls are mostly unmarked and difficult to figure out and use. Actually we couldn't figure it out. Written instructions are EXTREMELY lengthy. It records constantly and can't delete. Started recording the moment I plugged it in to charge. Can't return because it contains our recorded conversations. Had to throw away. Out $32

I honestly couldn't figure out how to use it! I spent hours trying, but failed. It is nothing like the Sony I C recorders! I love Sony so much that I own 12 Sony recorders and numerous other electronics! The Rony recorder usage instructions were not clear and straight forward nor were they well organized!
