I bought these for the price and to try something new, expecting some of the pickier horses on the farm to not really like them. Boy was I wrong! All of the horses LOVE them!
I bought these treats to push me over the free shipping minimum, and I'm so glad I did!! My 26 year old mare has a difficult time with treats being too hard for her. These treats are softer than your typical hard treat, and she has no problem chewing them. Great treat for a great price.
Smartpak gave them too us and these will be a new staple for my horse. He goes wild for them, he can not wait for them when he hears the package. I have to stay this is officially hos favorite treat. Great little nugget, fit great in my pockets and hands. Highly recommend.
I have gourmet 'special' treats and my wallet needed smaller, affordable treats. My boy is quite particular, and he literally was in my pocket the entire time I introduced these to him! He LOVES these treats! I am impressed with the ingredients and the cost! No brainer for my boy!
Awesome treats and you can't beat the price! They have a nice peppermint smell. Nothing is better than pepperminty horse breath! All of the horses love them.
My horses love these treats. They can be picky, but these they ate right away. I also love that with them being small, I can fit them in my pocket while riding .
i bought these for everyone in the barn for Christmas. All the horses loved them. Low sugar for those that were IR was a plus. Will buy again!
I bought this about two months ago and my mare absolutely loves them. Their small and easy to fit in pockets, but also they do have a distinct peppermint smell to them. My second mare however hated them she wouldn't even touch the treat and she is know to be a very picky eater. Good treat but not for all horses!
They are very pepperminty, which gives the horses nice breath for a minute, but that may turn some pickier horses off. This type of treat - a small pellet - is nice to keep in your pocket because they are small and don't leave bits of grain in your pocket when it comes time to wash. However, Poppermints are a bit softer than other treat pellets like the Manna Pro Bite-Size ones or SmartCookies. As a con, these crumble in your pocket a lot easier and leave crumbs, but as a pro, these would be great for horses that need slightly softer treats due to dental issues. By no means are they chewy, just softer than the others.
I have some real fatties who are highly trained treat connoisseurs. They were not too into these. They ate them but after a couple, began spitting them out. Many of the treats are also very small.... like tip of your finger small so they did not work well for treating while under saddle.
