Find it on a sale if you can. Its default price here, sometimes up to $159 or so, is worth more than I sometimes see it on sale; on sale, the unit can drop down to $99. At $99, or even $119, you can see the value. At $159, you are getting close enough to better 4U cases that are around $199 Pro: I'm not going to write a pros/cons, just the facts in this category. This is a VERY bare-bones 4U case. There are no reward points here for style. There are no removable/hot-swap trays, there is an old commitment to 5.25" bays you can convert with an IcyDock or similar; the tray layout does not provide for any of the newer methods for routing or cable management, and the spacing is such that you are not going to put any deep mount device in here. While there are numerous 3.5" bays, you really will want to use less than 1/2 of them for both heat and performance concerns. The case, however, is one of the cheaper 4U cases, and if you are looking for a baseline for a simple purpose, like a virtualization header, a Windows server, a firewall or similar, this case is certainly a decent choice. I have had no problems using this as a case for my firewall and VPN software layouts, as well as Windows servers in the past, due to pass-through problems of specific USB security keys that did not like VMWare or XCP's pass-through I was forced to keep on their own. Con:

It's a pretty good value rack mount computer case, especially if you need to build multiple computers. I bought two, I will be buying more in the future as long as the price stays the same or drops Pro: 4u, lots of space, cable management is actually possible, lockable front IO, decent price. Came with lots of extra screws & I was able to use a NZXT Kraken 120mm water cooler in push-pull config. Con:Metal construction was thinner and more flimsy than I was expecting,

The RSV-R4100U is first of all very attractive. It has a very nice matte black finish inside and out. It's nicely compact (17"depth vs 21" for most 4U rackmounts). Removal and reinstallation of HDD/SDD/ODD cages is very convenient. FYI my CPU cooler is a Noctua NH-U9S (on an LGA1700 CPU) with only a few millimeters to spare so I would guess that it is about the max height cooler that would fit in this case. Pro: The build quality is very good; very sturdy, no sharp edges, nice finish. Loads of extra screws are included. Con:The case fans are fine but aren't quite quiet enough for me so I will be swapping them out for some Noctua case fans. The power-on blue LED is super bright but closing the security door attenuates the brightness sufficiently.

Good enough Pro: Nice build quality, decent fit and finish, reasonable beveled edges. No sharp bits to get cut on. Con:Thinner material than other similar cases I have used

Im happy with this case. Easy to build in. Pro: Con:No rails.
