Initially I received a defective unit, but it was replaced with one that works. Before everything boiled, even on the lowest temperatures, but now the food simmers at 300 watts like it should. I was shocked to see how badly the pot that came with it got burnt... I have only boiled water in the new pot, and it has not warped, and the color has not changed, so I guess this is a good sign that the pot is not over heating. I really like this product because it works as the manufacturer intended. It boils water and heats up extremely fast. I tested the time the same amount of water, same temperature and same sized pot came to a boil on the cook-top and on m gas stove, and trust me, I had prepared a cup of tea before the gas stove brought the same amount of water in the same size pot to boil. I have found that the lower temperatures for simmering etc., work well on the watts temperature setting, and a slow boil works well on the degree Fahrenheit setting. Hope this helps. Awesome! Perfect for Chinese hot pot, or any other soup making. Touch panel, easy to tune the power, and there is a freeze button to avoid unintended touch. Almost no noise, very clean after cooking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The pot that comes with is very flimsy but it works well with heavier pots. With 1800 watts of power the price is good.

I guess I was just spoiled with my previous cooktop you could you could control it within 5° and this one it's in 50° increments had I known that before I purchased it I probably would not have purchased it I am getting used to it but I don't like it and the reason that I wouldn't recommend it to anybody is because I wouldn't recommend anything to anybody I'm just not that kind of person

Too complicated!

Even though I set the temperature to 350 the temperature continued to rise to 435. So, of course, the food burned on the outside and still raw in the inside. The pan included was very thin and showed burn marks within the first few minutes. Maybe, just this unit was defective but it truly was a disappointment.

waste of time and money, it's only blowing fan and no heat nothing works. I want my refund asap
