Rossie Home Blonde Maple Reversible Cutting Board with Juice Grooves, 14" x 11" x 1"

This seems like a good cutting board. As long as you keep it well oiled it won't lighten with use or show a lot of knife grooves (at least not after several weeks of daily use). It is much heavier than my previous bamboo cutting board which makes it a little more awkward to clean, but that is expected since it's thicker and made from denser wood. And walnut is supposed to be one of the best materials for cutting boards.

I really am impressed with the quality and price of the medium cutting board plus a small instruction pamphlet on what to use and how often to cleaning the board. Thank you Rossie!

Nice and thick, no cracks or glue showing. Soaks up wood conditioner nicely. Looks so nice I just leave it on the counter.

If you want a very small cutting board, this 9x11 edge grain board would be ok. But to improve the quality to other 4 or 5 star boards, you will have to raise the grain and sand it smooth yourself. They sent me and charged me for two of these and I only ordered one. On both the cutting surface was not as smooth as a 5 star board from a quality shop. One, with nice wood grain had a small dent in it. You will also have to take care of this as it looks like it needs more oil and then a coat of wax after it stops absorbing mineral oil. I decided to return them both since my daughter much prefers the end grain Boardsmith Cherry 9x13 I also ordered for a small counter kitchen. The cost was 3x that of this board, but the quality is so much more evident. After reading many of the poor reviews of cracking and splitting, I have to wonder if they are using good kiln dried lumber. That and warping issues happen often with a board without feet that remains wet underneath more than on the surface. It doesn't seem like that bad of a board, but it sure is small.

The size, material, and thickness of this maple cutting board are all great. It's almost perfect. However, it arrived with an unfinished surface, leaving a fine "fuzz" all over. This indicates a lack of proper sanding during manufacturing. I've already dedicated a significant amount of time to sanding and oiling it, going through three rounds so far, and the fuzz still hasn't completely disappeared. It's incredibly frustrating to have to put in so much extra effort on a new product.
