Rothco Top Load Canvas Duffle Bag, Black, 30" x 50"

The bag is of very tough canvas, large and well made. It opens from one end and has a clip latch (not a zipper). This is the traditional style for the military duffel bag — it works well for my needs but you should consider if you'd rather have a zipper opening the long side instead.

I was looking for a seabag style bag so I could carry my laundry up and down my steps on my back and this one definitely fit the bill!

This is not a cheap copy of the Army Surplus duffle bag - - - - - the canvas is really thick and the sewing is strong. I got two for my two young men - - very useful.

Such a great purchase. Bag is heavy duty and will last a very long time.

Great quality for the price

The good news is, this product is everything as described, no issues, no problems. Well, there was one problem... the size. My fault, my bad about not checking measurements, so the bag I got was big...really big. Too big for my needs, so unfortunately, I had to return it. Still, this is a top-notch quality item.

would rather it be slightly thicker. I have my doubts about the hardware lasting if you plan to use it much.

The canvas and stitching seem strong enough for general use. Maybe 22oz but then 30oz canvas would cost a lot more. The grommets seem to be a rather soft, non-magnetic metal, maybe painted brass. The size works for me but was a little misleading. When flat on the floor, the top is 30" across but measuring from the top opening along the side seam to the bottom is 47" (not 50"). Also, the bottom piece of canvas that's stitched to the sides is a 16" x 14 " rectangle. About 62 square inches less at the bottom than at the top. Seems like it must taper to the bottom but it's not really noticeable.
