Rough Country 2.5" Suspension Lift Kit for 1969-1975 Jeep CJ 5 4WD - 60530

Lift arrived quickly and was packaged very well . Instructions were concise and to the point. As far as install goes this is a medium difficulty . Anyone with basic mechanical knowledge and hand tools can get this lift completed . Impact drills help a bunch as well as penetrating oil for the old hardware. Rides nice and smooth , have it as an off-road only toy so track bars and sway bars have been removed . Would recommend this kit to anyone looking to renew the suspension under their old yj

All the parts came in inngood condition earlier than expected. The install was good and no issues with quality or fitment. Very pleased with the components and the improved height of 2. 5 inches. The stance looks awesome.

These got here after a bit of a delay, but they GOT here. everything looks good. Will be using most of this kit on a 74. Turned out the 79 it was ordered for didn't have a good title. Rough Country stayed in contact and were wonderful to work with.

Everything was included to complete the lift. All parts fit as they should. Gained 3 inches of lift with boomerang shackles bought separately. Very happy with the results on my 1990 YJ.

This lift is exceptional for the money, installed it on my jeep XJ with 265/70/17's and took it on Red Cone loop here in Colorado (Elevation 12,800). Everything as far install went very smoothly. I am happy with this lift. If you are running on your XJ plan to trim your fenders if you have anything bigger then 31's

The lift took a bit longer to install than I expected, about 8 hours. It works well and looks great. I will definitely purchase from Rough Country again.

My suspension was blown out. I measured before and after it was 29” to the top of the wheel well and 36” afterwards. Looks and feels like a new truck. I got driveline vibrations afterwards, I fixed it with a Tcase drop kit! Make sure you get a steering damper as well.

This all went together pretty well with a couple of caveats. I think this kit should include the flag nuts for the rear shock mounts because you WILL break the bolts and it's just not realistic to think you can drill them out and fix them without replacing the Nutcerts. The second issue I had was that the stock U bolt pads for the rear leaf springs has too small of a hole to fit the new bundle bolt on the new spring packs ( assuming you don't just get the add a leaf). Thats pretty much it though and everything else went together like it was supposed to. The kit was really nice and complete other than my thoughts there and it all seems to be very high quality components.

Not a bad kit to install and looks good, that being said, the upper rear shock mount had to be opened up to fit the bolt spacing
