Install was easy, the looks great! The only problem is the rear life bocks are an 1 inch to short, a 3 1/2 or a 4 inch block would level the truck out.
Kit excellent
didnt have any issues with alignment, drive line, or driveability after installing. My alignment guy didnt have a problem making my wheels run straight and i have no drive line vibration. I previously installed the 2.5 inch lift from rough country and already had all the holes drilled for 1/2 inch, i just reused my 1/2 inch hardware. everything lined up fine and i only had to touch up 2 holes on the radius arm bracket and add one extra hole for the pass side drop bracket and drill 2 smaller ones for the drivers side drop bracket brace. the ride is firm and very well within reason for a lifted truck...any softer and i think it would pitch and dive around way too much on bumps and feel out of control. VERY happy with this lift.
Shipped the same day. All the new manufactured parts are heavy and have a high quality fit and finish. Everything mated up nicely, no reaming or torqueing of the new parts to get them to fit with the existing factory truck holes. The hardest part was getting the 20 year old rusty nuts and bolts removed. Have just thrown the original factory size wheels back on to put some miles on it to check the alignment and have to say I can feel it's stiffer but also rides better. The new suspension is very comfortable turning and negotiating corners, even with the stock tires. Would absolutely purchase a Rough Country lift the next time.
Great lift and 100 times better than torsion key lift, don't have many complaints but idk why rough country says they recommend the front drive shaft, when it's an absolute necessity. The stock drive shaft will hit the exhaust and not clear. So if you get the lift also order the drive shaft stock one won't fit.
This lift came with easy to follow instructions. Everything fit together pretty easily. It wasn't exactly a perfect fix, some extra bolts on the connecting brackets needed to be loosened to get everything to swing into place. New hardware for the struts and springs would have been nice but wasn't a deal breaker. Overall I'm very happy with my lift and would buy it again. Looking forward to installing more rough country products on the Excursion.
Didnt come in yet. But I dont like how you guys say we need your special torsion bar tool when you can use a 2 jaw puller and put them on the two lips your instruction say to grind off.. other then that kit looks great cant wait till it's in next week.
Lift kit came complete with all parts and good instructions. Would strongly recommend getting the special tool for the torsion keys as they are a mahor pain without it. Lift went on with no issues on the front end. Due to previous rear axle swap from an Explorer had to do a little custom work with the rear brake line extension for the disc brake lines. All in all this kit was very well put together and the instructions were very complete. Installation is very technical due to the nature of the Ranger suspension set up and would say at least intermediate mechanic abilities needed for installing this kit. All in all pleased with how it looks and handles. Would recommend this product.
Very nice lift had to return it back due to fitness issues, still waiting for my refund but definitely I would buy her again.
It's a good lift for the price but they advertise that it levels the truck too which it doesn't. It gives the truck a nose dive, instillation was pretty straightforward and easy, rides pretty nice from what I've felt. I would recommend getting 6” springs for the front and the longer break lines if you want the leveled look, or 2 in coil spacers
