Awesome lift kit! I highly reccomend this system, worked great on my 79 k10. I also reccomend the extended brake lines, front and rear. And sway bar drop kit if applicable. My suspension was pretty stiff for the first week or so, but softened up a bit with use. Putting some weight in the back helped smooth the ride out, but much stronger than stock which is the end goal. Thank you Rough Country for such a great product!
Bought this kit and have never put one in. Had some issues with getting parts off due to rusty nuts and bolts but, not anything to do with Rough Country's 6” lift kit. Once all the old rusted parts were removed it was a breeze putty this lift kit on. Would recommend this kit to anyone! Love the aftermath.
I can't believe how many compliments I've gotten on my truck. This is by far the favorite vehicle I've owned and this lift makes the truck. It looks completely different than any truck I've seen around town or in our area. One of a kind. Thanks Rough Country.
I bought this system not because of its price but because it utilizes all of the stock components likes UCA, LCA, bushings, and struts so if I ever need to replace my parts, I plan to keep my truck until over 100K miles, I can buy standard GM replacement parts. So far I got 25K miles on the lift and no problems whatsoever. Great kit and I'm proud to support my fellow Tennesseans
Install time with two people was about 7 hours in a fully equipped shop. Direction are very good and pieces fabricated perfectly to fit. Truck looks awesome. The only flaw I had was that rough country does not sell any of the size wheels that the recommended you use and they are very difficult to find. I recommend using BB Wheels for your tires and wheels
So, I have dealt with lift kits before, not mentioning any names, but this kit compared to some others is pretty easy to install, no weld in mounts like some, some fabrication is needed,. Not anything drastic. Also keeps the angles of the oem specs with widening the front. I recommend some rear spacers to even it out. The lift kit itself is all included, meaning you can get the lift without having to get extra stuff. Stock rear shocks with new shocks up front. No extra camber or alignment corrections needed either. Another plus.. all around great product.
Overall it was an easy install. I'd never installed a suspension kit in my life. I'm somewhat mechanical but def not a wrench turner. I was able to do it in less than 6 hours on a lift with the right tools. There is no way I would have done it on the ground with my tools. I'm fortunate to have a buddy who has a mechanic shop with everything I needed. Most important tool I used was the air impact. This made it super easy. It's probably a good idea to have a buddy help with a few things as I probably couldn't have managed the rear in alone. So far the kit is great, but it's only been 24 hours.
I just purchased this kit for my new 2019 Chevy Silverado RST. I am extremely pleased with this lift. I have only had it on my truck for three weeks, but I have not had any issues yet. I went with the RC lift because it came highly recommended by several people who have had RC lifts for years. I spoke with the RC team members several times before purchasing this kit to make sure I had the right one for my truck and also to answer a bunch of random questions I had because it was my first lift kit I had put on a truck. All of the team members I spoke to over the course of buy and getting the lift installed were amazing. They not only answered in detail all the info I had about the lift, they also were able to point out what page number in the instructions needed to be referenced by the company installing my lift, when they were not sure how to do something. I told them what page to look at and the problem was solved. I can't thank RC enough for making my first lift kit an enjoyable experience. If you are looking for a kit, Rough Country not only has a great product, but an even better Customer Service Team to back it up. Many thanks again.
Easy install ! Did it in my shop with air tools and a floor jack in 5 hours. Parts seem to be of good quality for the surprisingly low cost! My only complaint is that the rear doesn't quite sit level but I think that's due to the 300,000 mile original rear springs. Definitely would buy again !
Great lift. installed in no time at all. used basic tools and floor jacks. took a total of 6 hours. All quality components and pieces. Couldn't beat the price. suburban handles any trail and mudpit and will still cruise down the road at 75mph. this is my 3rd rough country lift and will buy many more. Def recommend RC lifts to anyone.
