This lift for my FJ Cruiser is fantastic. I've had lifts on other vehicles that made me feel like a bobble head on the road or a boat on the waves but this lift feels stock on the road and put a nice even height on both the front and back of my vehicle. I recommend this one to FJ owners.

So yes taco shock both front an rear vertex shocks do fit just have to attach rear resovior and get 4runner piggy back front mounts to work with the fj cruiser due to window washer resi. Must have the rough country 6 inch fj lift to work. Perfect also fixed the rear shocks kick back a lack of smoothness too set to 1 all around smoothness at its best!

This is a well built kit. The spindles weigh a solid 25lbs each and retain the factory lower control arm ball joint plate which is huge plus in my book. Plus, the drop bracket does not require you to cut or remove the factory cross member, another huge plus! Other kits require the cross member to be cut out, which affects resale and the spindles have a tapered hole that ball joint presses into. This makes replacing a broken/damaged CV on the trail a nightmare.

I was ready to sell the truck but after installing this 3” lift I changed my mind ! Jeep owners can say what they want about RC springs but I will buy them again and again and again ! It's level now . Fits 35x12.50r17 minor trimming. Super fast shipping too.

Directions could be a little more detailed. Kit is very solid and fit perfectly. The big issue I had was the fact that a 15 year old Midwest vehicle is going to have bolts that will not come out easily, some will even break due to rust. Directions said 6-8 hours for installation, after waiting on new parts it ended up taking 4 times that.

Ordered Friday afternoon, was on my doorstep Tuesday. Crazy fast shopping. Lift is well built. Almost overbuilt! Lift went on easy as could have. Only complaint is the rear shocks are junk. They're so stiff it makes the rearend jump and move over any bumps that it's almost dangerous. Think dump tuck. It's a well known problem with this lift, not sure why RC hasn't addressed this problem yet? Other than that this is a great lift and allows me to run 35s with ease.

I ordered this kit hoping it would fit my 2004 Toyota 4Runner V6 4x4 and it Fits perfectly, all bolt on, no cutting anything, no modifications! i love the way it looks, just need to get an alignment and good to go. Thank you so much Rough Country for making this kit.

I purchased the six inch lift for my 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser. Kit does not include front struts, so I replaced my worn front ones with Bilstein 5100s and set strut lift to OEM 0”. Kit is well thought out and complete. Slight issues with brake line relocation brackets as moving OEM brake lines caused some pinching and breakage. Bent replacement hard lines and replaced worn rubber ones while I was at it. Wish the instructions were worded a bit better. For instance, when installing the replacement brackets for the transfer case, it works best to unbolt completely, support with Jack stands and then get all three bolts started, fought this for over four hours. Also, kit says to install the rear track bar twice, I believe it meant do t put lower end back on until vehicle is on the ground but isn't worded that way. All in all, great kit that fits and functions very well. Only wish is that it had a full length lift strut or coil over as an option for the front end vs the spacer for OEM strut.
