My 14 year old shocks had worn bushings. My rear end was bouncy. I decided to buy Roughcountry M1 shocks. I like the pressed in steel sleeve bushings, the top bushing was just rubber ne steel sleeve. The shock work very well for my application my truck rides much more firm, with no bounce. I have a 2. 5” RC leveling kit on the front and a 1 1/4 rear spring block.
I installed these on my 2006 silverado 1500 with no lift, and it worked out well. Been a couple weeks and it's riding fine. Word to the wise, if you have no lift, you will need to compress these struts to install them on the rear end. Strong large zip ties worked well.
Surprised they didn't have covers over the ram part but maybe they're hard enough they won't get picked up from debris. Just put them on so not a lot to review.
Added these to my 22' Toyota Tacoma. They are adjustable, I raised the front 1” to level my truck. Looks great and rides stiff. I'm able to hit turns like go cart. They feel great on the road.
Took no time at all to install these. Went from squeaking to nice and quite. Feels way better and feel that it might be sitting a bit higher. Definitely a great upgrade!
Great stance on my truck now. Eye catching color from rear. Definitely made a difference when pulling my 22' trailer with 50hp tractor- truck doesn't dip at rear like it did with stock shocks . Easy install, excellent customer service
So far I'm really happy with the upgrade to the M1 shocks. To be fair, my old N3 shocks served their purpose for 100k miles, but they were completely broken down. Looking forward to trying these out on a little more aggressive terrain in the woods this Spring.
Firmed up the '99 gmc 1/2 ton to greatly enhance the towing capability while towing my 23' travel trailer. I'll put the lighter shocks back on when not towing as it rides a little too stiff on the rough streets where I live.
Just install on 10/13/25, so far so good. My old shocks were dead and these fit perfectly with my 3 inch lift. Only time will tell, but im liking them so far!!
Shipping 5/5 packaging 5/5 install 3. 5/5 I will for sure be purchasing all my upgrades from them. I need that tri fold tonneau cover and upper control arms next ?
