Ride is good. Day after installing, towed our 6000 pound travel trailer with weight distribution hitch and shocks on setting 5. Stable ride. Unloaded (have a fiberglass cap), the truck was stiff on default setting of 4. Tried 2 and then 1. At 1, they are just a touch more firm than the factory shocks (which were pretty weak) - providing a comfortable ride. I thought about waiting to review until after driving with a load in the truck bed. But knew if I did not do it now when prompted, I would get busy. As a sales rep, I often carry 200 to 500 pounds of sample gear. Hopefully can update this review after some trips on the road. Negatives include the instructions. The picture of the top is completely useless. There should be a simple exploded diagram of what part goes where. It is mostly intuitively obvious as you put it in place but I wanted to go into the project with confidence and not a feeling of winging it. The rope tied around the shocks to keep compressed was a poor idea. They were in the way and would be hard to undo when trying to install and unload at the same time. With the help of my daughter, I wrapped the shock with a ratchet strap to hold it compressed during install and removed the ropes. This allowed me to slide the bottom onto the pin by the axle and then rotate the shock up into the top hole. I had the wheel off and the frame on jack stands and a hydraulic jack under the axle. Slowly raising the axle with the jack allowed for the top of the shock to go into place and put on the nut. Then was able to release the ratchet strap and finish tightening up both ends. Put the wheel back on and done. Hope this helps others.
Installed front 3. 5" vertex coilovers and rear 3. 5" vertex shocks. Ride is smooth. Front is maybe a 1/2" higher than rear might need to upgrade to 2. 5 inch block In the rear. I did a sway bar delete and it rides really nice on setting #4
The shocks are on the truck, but i havent been able to see the truck yet, excited to see how they look
I added the shocks and air bags. Rear end is solid, quiet and smooth. All parts fit perfectly. Doing the front this weekend
These are night and day performance upgrade over my procomp ones. Better traction taller grip the road feel and I love the fact that can adjust them for more performance just by turning the knob definitely recommend these for your truck
I installed these on my 22 Chevy Z71 about 6 months after installing the 6” lift. Initially I had the N3's. The N2's were very rough riding. So I purchased these based on reviews on Rough Country's website. I was hoping for a better ride! Wow! Is all I can say. It is amazing at the difference these shocks made. The truck rides so much better, and handles better. I am very pleased and will be replacing the front coil overs very soon also.
Feels like im driving a brand new truck.
Very nice shocks looks and performance
I haven't installed these yet but first glance 5 stars
Love the fact my pickup truck bed isnt bouncing around on bumps. . .
