Had some traction bars on my 06 Silverado and noticed a big difference in handling, and when I got my 19 Silverado LD I knew I needed some, the truck has a 6” lift and had a little bit of squirrely back end, after I got these bars installed we had a good amount of snow after a storm and it kept the back end down and plowed through the snow. Would definitely recommend!
Because I have the same axle as the Titan, I ordered the traction bar kit for first gen Titans. Everything bolted up with the only modification being to slightly bend the flag nut "handle", so it will lay flat in the frame rail once fitted through the factory hole in the frame. Mark and drill the holes, bolt on the front bracket, and then bend the flag nut handle up to clear the bars, or just cut it off. The stock Frontier axle brackets under the U-bolts are slightly different than the Titan, and cannot be used without modification. I just removed then, and just used the R/C brackets only. The bars work as advertised.
Just installed on a 2026 GMC Sierra AT4. Overall, it looks and works amazing. There were a couple bumps to watch out for, so hopefully this helps some of you down the road… First off, the frame rail hole on the driver's side (where you would insert the flag nut) is only 25mm in width and no matter how much you try, you won't be able to wiggle the flag nut in there. You'll need to open it up to almost 30mmm, which is the size of the passenger side. Maybe previous years didn't have this issue, and it's new for the '26? The passenger side went in with no problem. Invest in a really good step bit, because that steel is REALLY tough to get through. My axle brackets were not labeled, but you can see they're angled slightly inward; just aim them at the frame rail and you'll be fine. If they point away from the truck, you have them flipped. The frame mounts are poorly fabricated, so take caution here. One of mine was so bad, I almost contacted support to have a different one sent. A little ingenuity and I was able to make it work. Pro tips: Get your axle brackets on first (per the instructions) and torque to approx 110 ft lbs. That should be in the instructions btw. I would NOT use an impact wrench on anything, especially the frame mounts; just snug them up nice and tight, but an impact wrench would snap the welded nuts right off the flange. Then, dry fit everything BEFORE you drill. This is where you stop looking at the instructions. Assemble the entire trac bar end-to-end using only the bolts holding things in place, then mark the location of your frame brackets, and then drill. You'll be surprised at how much of an angle you'll need on the frame brackets so the trac bars don't bind. My gripes: the instructions are not the greatest. They could definitely use a refresh and have more specific things detailed out. The frame brackets are junk. Those could use some rework to be more precise (guessing both of mine came from different jigs and one was WAY off). Hope this helps!
they're great work kids are supposed to my hard part is I suggest welding the brackets to the frame instead of trying to fish them brackets inside of it to bolt it up
Honestly, I thought these might be a waste of money and was uncertain about them. They came in well packaged and a little common sense the install will go well. I used an impact to break the u bolts loose. That would have been a task by itself without the impact. Drilling through the frame to mount the front mount was shoulder tiring but went quicker than expected. Have a little patience and the end result is amazing. I can tell my rear end stays on the ground better and the ride is a lot less bumpier. I am FULLY satisfied with the turnout all round!
I had them installed by a mechanic so i can'tsay how long it took. My exhaust dumps out in front of the rear tire, and had to be modified. The bars and hardware are great quality. The spinning tires reduced and the hopping stopped. They are well worth the money and look great
Easy to install Stabilizes your truck 100% Definitely a must have regardless of stock or whatever lift you have
Since I installed this on my truck I feels like running better and also I don't feel any vibration I would recommend this product. Rough country has the best costumer service that can imagine
Was difficult to read the instructions, install was difficult with out proper instructions. Final got it on and it looks good feels a lot better than a leveling kit.
These traction bars not only look great, but have seriously increased handling, especially when towing. It doesn't matter if I'm bombing down a washboarded dirt road or towing my 27' fifth wheel, paired with a 3.5” vertex lift and logiqair bags, my truck runs far smoother and is much more planted and predictable on the road. My ONLY reason for 4 stars is because the instruction sheet was not printed to scale. The frame template measured 3.75” and not 4”. Fortunately I measured the template to the frame bracket, reprinted my own instructions to 100% scale, and the template was correct at 4”. Verify your template before drilling holes in your frame!
