Purchased for preparation in driving to Colorado for my move. Assembly took me a bit longer than recommended due to one set of hands and not all the right tools. Placements didn't seem spot on until some messing around with it but likely a user error issue. In the end it fit well and I'm ready for this road trip now.
The first thing I noticed was how heavy it is. It is much heavier and stronger than aluminum versions. The holes lined up without and issues. It's a bit of a trick to put the bolts in while you're holding it up. It's pretty heavy. Note that installation requires removal of the front valance /air damn. I think the truck looks better without it. If you want the valance panel you will need to buy something else.
Looks very nice and definitely could tell taking it out the box it was of high quality. Price had me wondering if it was good or not bit I feel protected with it, fitment was great for the front piece but the longer extended part was a couple millimeters off making it awkward to install. Will be using Rough country again
Purchased and installed myself on 2026 Tacoma. Fit factory holes perfectly. I did change out two of the supplied bolts just so I was pleased with the length. Just a personal preference. Looks great!!
It was about time there was a more affordable skid plate was mage for the 24-25 tacomas. Rough country always comes through with a good quality product. Also, love their seat covers too!
Heavy-duty protection! Get rid of the "gravel guard" on your new Tacoma and get one of these. 6 bolts hold it on, and you will have to take it off to change your oil/filter.
Very pleased I have bought two TRD skid plates for two other Toyota vehicles and feel they are over rated for the price. Was happy to find this skid plate for the price and quality
However, the Slid Plate did not fit my 2024 Tacoma Limited iMAX Hybrid. There is a small structural bar under the radiator that prevented attaching the front bolts. I returned the product over a week ago with the FedEx label Rough Country send and am still waiting for my refund.
No more than it would probably cost. I think you could improve your item by putting a excess door so that person didn't have to take that skit played off to change the oil other than that your products wonderful.
Plate was thick enough to protect but only 2 of the holes aligned correctly. I suggest holes be made . 062 larger. Washers provided are large enough to cover the extra space. This will prevent users from having to refill and scallop the holes provided in order to make it fit correctly. BTW - this was all done w loose fit before tightening AFTER we finally got it drilled to correction.
