Bought this to replace my old steamer which started leaking after a few years. This one is great. Pros: it gets the wrinkles out very efficiently, the water tank is large so it doesn't have to be filled up too often, the handle serves as a stand so it stands upright when you put it down, the cord is long enough that you don't have to struggle to reach the top of the item, it has several attachments so that you can change it if you're working with a delicate material. The cons: it doesn't have an automatic shutoff so you have to remember to turn it off, it does get quite warm on the top of exterior but not the actual handle, and not so hot it burns you just a little too warm for my peace of mind. It's definitely 100 times better than my last steamer so I'm thrilled.
Great product that is very easy to use. I was skeptical about the steam consistency. The steamer heats up quickly and provides a steady stream. Very easy to fill wig tap water and operate. I steamed a variety of lightweight like woven linen and cotton knit; medium, and heavier weight fabrics like denim and cotton twill. Water did not drip from the steamer. For the size and the price, this hand held steamer will not disappoint!
This is the 3rd type of hand steamer purchased in the past year and is by far the best. Glad I chose it.
Better than the less expensive Conair I purchased; hotter, more consistent stream of steam. Does the job for me: touch ups for small light-fabric articles of clothing, surface disinfectant, pest/parasite killer on them small articles of clothing. However, Walmart exclusive therefore you cannot purchase additional water tanks- Rowenta only sells them for its Excel model. Small bursts of hot water, so use at a lower angle.
Hard to believe this was purchased Aug 2020 since I have yet to take it out of the box. That's the problem with online shopping, too easy to buy and put away.
I bought this online during black Friday and was so excited to finally get a steamer. The design is very sleek and handy. However, when I tried to use it for the first time, the device got nicely hot but steam never came streaming out like I had expected. Even after I did a troubleshoot, it never performed. Now it's just languishing in the box. I had such high expectations from Rowenta since I love their iron, but this product left me disappointed.
Bought for my son to use at college in AZ in Aug 2022. When he and his roommates tried to use it, it heated up then just made a loud clicking noise. They even tried holding the button down to see if that would help. Even though some of his friends are engineering majors, I thought they were not doing something correct. I went back to visit and same clicking noise. No receipt since my son lost it so now I have a steamer that doesnʻt work. I just saw the other review where the steamer did the same thing. I just thought since it was a Rowenta that I would be safe. I am debating if I should take it home, not AZ, and hope I can make it work.
It's trash. The steamer kept clicking and nothing happened. Even after being instructed to tap it to remove the trapped air bubble, I did so and still nothing happened. We returned it and went with another brand.
It's garbage! I never used it until last week and when I took it out of the box it seemed fine. Plugged it in, put water in and all it does is click!! No steam, nothing. Held it down for several seconds, almost a minute and nothing! It's garbage! Don't waste your time! I purchased it in April and barely now tried it to see it's defective!!!
Product doesn't do the job, hand pressing works just as well.
