So far so good. My ironing is done much faster and the steam is wonderful - the wrinkles come right out. I have not had it long enough to do much of the maintenance though - hope that is easy too. I always heard great things about Rowenta and it seems to be all true. Best iron I've ever had.
I can honestly say I don't remember hearing or knowing of Rowenta irons. When I needed to purchase a new one, a friend told me to look at the Rowenta since that is their only product. I was impressed with the reviews and liked the idea of the many steam vents. I like it more with each use.
Using tap water for this iron is a plus. No more distilled water purchases. The iron is light and glides easily over the fabics. The tab to open for the water is hard for me to open however. And the black plastic makes it hard to see the level of the water.
I purchased this iron after looking at and comparing other brands and models. I am an avid sewer and quilter who uses an iron almost every day. This iron has features that I really appreciate including the tip which makes pressing seams much easier. My only disappointment is that it doesn't seem to get as hot as my previous iron. Or does it take an hour to get hot..... When I use it for three or more hours it seems to be hotter. I really want to love this iron. I put research into buying a quality product but am disappointed in the temperature it reaches.
Have owned many Rowenta irons and think they are the best irons out there. Just bought the Accessteam Steam Iron and find a major issue with it. The body is dark dark gray making it impossible to see the water level in the iron. All my old Rowentas had light bodies making it easy to see the water level. Also, the temperature levels difficult to see and access. Please go back to light color bodies. That said, it irons great.
Though it takes about four thumb press before water sprays, the water that comes out is just right !!! The overall weight is light, even with water at its max. I had 4 steam Irons already (of different make/brand ) and all of them leaked water overtime. This one will have to pass that stage, I'd say in about a year by Dec. 2020.
This iron is fine, but a little quirky. Shaking it to get it started seems silly, but okay, I'll do it. The steam is a little up and down, I've had cheaper irons where the steam was more reliable, and adjustable too. But it's a perfectly adequate iron.
I've been using this iron a little over a year. For the last 4 months it has been leaking water at the base on occasion, and last night I turned it on and the indicator light comes on but there is no heat. So disappointed in this iron, as I remember it was a little pricey. The sole plate is still shiny and new so it hasn't been used very much.
I had high hopes on this iron, but it was not meant to be.The iron looks good and had a good weight to it. It starting putting out water and my things even felt wet after I iron them. And I didn't even put the tank full of water.
The 1st time I used the iron I noticed that in normal ironing steam didn't come out of the sole plate. If I needed steam, had to use the burst of steam. In ironing a large item you almost had to have your finger on the burst of steam button which is very uncomfortable. I don't do a lot of ironing the past months I reread the directions thinking that I missed something as all other steam irons I used supplied a continuous supply of steam through the sole plate. Called customer support today & was advised that this is the way this model is designed using the burst of steam. Knowing this I would have not bought this iron.
