I use the Whetstone for 4050 years. I think it's the only way to really get a good edge and a knife I don't use hat, kids or or actors just knives and I have a carbon blade and it goes dull, quite easily but with a wet stone you can put a very fine edge on it and that's what I used to. It's a chef night and it's it's my go to tonight. I also have a smaller vegetable knife and I don't know why, but it does not hold an edge I I done everything I can to get that knife to have an edge on it and it just refuses to put an edge on it so I think my best bet there would be to throw the knife away. Get yourself a wet stone if you want a crisp, very sharp edge.
