Works as intended

Nimo July 13, 2025

I didn't use the knife holder. It does take a bit of technique, make sure to use the same angle and technique on the same knife. Check youtube video by Epicurious to learn a few tips on how to sharpen your knife properly and search for: The Best Way To Sharpen %26 Clean Knives (And The Worst)

I use the Whetstone for 4050 years. I think it's the only way to really get a good edge and a knife I don't use hat, kids or or actors just knives and I have a carbon blade and it goes dull, quite easily but with a wet stone you can put a very fine edge on it and that's what I used to. It's a chef night and it's it's my go to tonight. I also have a smaller vegetable knife and I don't know why, but it does not hold an edge I I done everything I can to get that knife to have an edge on it and it just refuses to put an edge on it so I think my best bet there would be to throw the knife away. Get yourself a wet stone if you want a crisp, very sharp edge.

Excellent sharpening stone

Bogdana September 21, 2025

This whetstone is very high quality and works perfectly for keeping my knives sharp. Both grits (1000/6000) are effective — the coarse side restores dull blades quickly, and the fine side gives a razor-sharp finish. The stone is sturdy, easy to use, and comes with a stable base that prevents slipping. Great product for anyone who wants professional results at home. Highly recommend

Good size whetstone for all sharpening needs

Lee November 25, 2025

I've had a small whetstone that was fine for pocket knives. But I needed a larger one for kitchen knives. This one is a very nice set that meets my needs really well. The device for keeping a good angle is a real plus.

Works Marginally

Michael July 16, 2025

The stone has to be soaked in water for 10 minutes and when finished takes a long time to dry. The green side of stone was noticeably worn down after one use. The stone seems to be too soft and you can see a substantial amount of the stone come off as you use it, so much so I had to constantly clean off the loose grit often.

Provides sharp edge when used at correct angle. The finishing side of the stone appears to be slightly chipping in some areas.

The stone itself I think is pretty nice. Just an fyi it is a wet stone ao you have to soak it for 15 mins before even using it. The guide completly sucks! i tried this on an older knife that I didnt really care whether it worked or not but must of got some metal in the guide. Then I put it on my Spyderco knife which is a stainless steel blade and it scratched the crap out of it! (Not to happy about that!) Just a note if you buy this DONT use the knife guide!
