Royal & Langnickel - Colour Pencil by Numbers - Kittens

This is absolutely NOT for beginners. It's not a simple color by number project. It requires skill significantly beyond the average person. You need to know colored pencil techniques, how to shade and blend colored pencils, how to insert thin streaks of color (whiskers and hair) on top of already colored areas, and you cannot hope to successfully finish this project without constantly referencing the picture on the box. It comes with 10 pencils and a sharpener which CLEARLY implies its for the complete beginner,but this is radically misleading. If you were to actually fill in the colored areas like you would in a normal color by number picture, you would end up with an absolutely unrecognizable mess. It might be a good kit for someone with experience and who aspires to become a extreme gifted artist, but a person like this would already have plenty of well- used colored pencils.
